I managed to walk away with five (four silver and a bronze - and I\'m probably most happy with the bronze effort!) Here they are:

That squig affair is vewry good. Your stuff certainly seems a whole lot better than most of the stuff I saw up till now. Quite surprised one of them didn\'t squeak a gold.

Thats some good stuff Marcus. The bone giant was awesome as was the gobbo. 40k stuff rocks as well.

Do you play or just paint. I just wondered if we ever ran into each other at a tournament like the big weekend.

thanks Ogrebane, i don\'t play anymore. sort of stopped about 2-3 years ago. I just paint now, and very ocassionally play against a few mates.

Very nice work - I\'m particularly taken with the Squig tosser (I\'m assuming that\'s what he\'s doing) and the 40k Ork. Great use of colors!

Some great work there, nice one. Must have been fairly stiff competition (or just crappy judging!) if a couple of these didn\'t win golds.

Wonderful work! I, too, especially like the goblin, and I also really like the nmm treatment on the kopeshes of the undead mummy...a lot!

yes, the competition *was* stiff this year. i think that if i had have entered the in previous years, most - if not all could have got the gold. I am certainly not complaining with silver though The judging was actually reasonably good this year too. There are always some contentious decisions, but none that were blatant. I just have to try harder net year!
I\'d like to get some more photos of the goblin to show some different angles of him, particularly the squig\'s face. I actually converted it as being a squiphopper - and he was simply trying to hang on to the squig - let alone ride it!
BTW Trevor, I didn\'t see you there - mind you I had this image of someone in sunglasses and a long leather coat

I was sick (actually I\'m still kinda sick - nasty chest infection) so I didn\'t make it. Shame coz I\'d have liked to see entries and painters, next year...
