My first submission

Hey guys,

I just posted my first submission and was wondering if any of you could take a look at it and let me know what you think? I am hoping to get some advice on what I can do to improve my painting and picture taking abilities. This is for a dwarf army I am working on so I tried to paint him to a high table top standard, which is about as far as my abilities will allow me to go. Thanks for any tips or constructive criticism.

I agree - it's well above basic tabletop level. My only minor crit would be that the photo chops off the top and bottom of the mini. You might want to be careful about your framing/trimming of shots.

It's actually pretty brilliant. I particularly enjoy the jade green look of his banner. I'd actually enjoy a better look at him; maybe with future posts include multiple pictures from different angles. :)

Hey,

Thanks so much for the positive comments, I am glad you guys like it.

me_in_japan- you are right about the photo, I was thinking that as well. I just got a new camera and couldn't seem to get a distance that I liked, I need to take some more pics and see what I can come up with.

Flow-Thanks very much for the complements. Here is another angle on the banner. I put gloss coat over the gems so in the original photo the light reflection is hiding what I painted. In hindsight I should have taken the photo before I dull-coated/varnished the model.
