My first display base, comments please!!!

A few days ago I finished my first display piece. I was inspired by the \"how to\" article posted here on CMON, so I decided to try my hand at it. I am happy with my results but I would also like to hear some honest comments since I would like to improve my skills ( or actually develop some!) So if you could, let me know what you think. Hi.

Had a good look at it, i must say I like the base, looks very much like the cave floor. I have to say thought that the standard of the base is better than the standard of the minis, but this may be the photos.

I agree that the base appears nicer than the minis. I have struggled to get the best out of my camera, while my photography is improving, I guess my 2.0 megapixel camera leaves alot to be desired too. Again thank you for your comment.

I think dioramas are the end all be all of this hobby, and if you can incorporate a diorama AND a display base, well then you have got something there.

Very good work. I loved that article on making a display base also, but haven\'t had the discipline to follow through on making one yet.

Supervike, thanks for the comments. I can stell you that making this display/ diorama was very simple, fun and greatly rewarding. I followed the article posted here and it was finished before I knew it. Try it, and post your results!!!!

I generally like the choice of scene but your display...well...it\'s too empty somehow. I know you said it\'s your first take but I think if there was some kind of cave wall in one or maybe two corners of the base it would really add to the atmosphere level of the piece.

hmm. I cannot really remember the movie but don\'t the ghosts cast some amount of light? I also though they were green?
