I\'d say thin the paitns a lot more.
And teh red dosn\'t look like it\'s been shaded that much, a good idea would be to add some dark green to your red and shade in the folds. Try to force the contrast, it\'s hard to do at first ( well afterwards also ) but it\'ll make volumes stand out a ot more.
but on the plus, all the paint is where it should be, even if the paint is alittle thick its been painted neatly, I also like the effect on the axe, looks like old blood stains on a old beaten axe, quite a nice effect. Maybe add alittle grain effect to the axe handle ?
keep painting, took me ages to get the right thickness with my paints, but it will come and before long you will be wowing people with your minis I am sure of it
You have good brush control - the paint is neatly applied. Repeating what others have said - try more thin layers rather than a few thick ones. I find getting rid of all the mold lines hard too. It seems no matter how hard I look, I invariably discover a \"new\" one after I start painting. I\'ve learned to take a second look once the fig is primed but before I start painting.
And I had to stop kidding myself that \"I can cover that mold line with paint\".
Keep at it!
