First off i\'d like to say i hope you don\'t find me presumptious in posting this i\'m not a regular face and only pop up occasionally to put my oar in.

I do wish to share this with you though. It\'s a minotaur lord that has inspired an entire army of converted beastmen.

Take a look and give me some hints, tips, criticisms and praise (i love to be told i\'m great) also if anyone could tell me how to attach the beast to a large piece of slate that would be great.

Anyway on with the show:

You\'re great :D - actually, he does look nice - not overfussy but certainly individual.

As for attaching to slate - it\'s easy. Simply drill a couple of holes in the bottom of his feet with a pin vice or similar tool. Then superglue two small pieces of wire just long enough to stick out of these holes about 3-5mm at most I would say. Then work out where these would fit on the slate - drill similar holes there (very easy to drill in slate) and superglue in place.

Let us see when you start painting it up.

Thanks very much guys!!!! I\'ve been a bit worried about sticking my stuff up on here as the usual standard is so high! Thought i might not measure up!

Ok so i took your advice billy and here are the results (i also sculpted a bit more):

Hoping to get a bit more sculpted, he\'s going to have hairy thighs and a chainmail groin when i\'m done, then to the spray area!!!

@Multifracture:
Users post stuff here thats are from all levels of painting/sculpting. Its not restricted to folk who have high mini ratings. Infact is more for people that want to pick up tips and wish to get better at what they do. Everyones welcome....well almost :D

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!

Thanks guys all your support means a lot and has actually driven me to finish it quicker (you know how it is the first night you\'re all ready to convert a whole army and by the end of the week you\'re sick of the figure you started on)

So here\'s the final sculpting and preliminary basing let me know if you have anything i could do to improve it before it gets primed. and yet again all your comments are great and just make me want to do better:

as you can see i\'ve given him fur all around his waist and thighs. I also tried to do chainmail on his tabard but it didn\'t work out so i did a different kind of fur as a sporan type thing.

Looking good - especially like the different heights on the base, works really well with the model. It will be interesting to see how you work that path where his right foot (left as we see it) meets the slate though. Also, I\'m quite glad you didn\'t go for the \"chainmail groin\" as that sounded very painful

I think the metallics look good so far... with a better picture it would be easier to give advice. From what I can see the only thing that could use some work is the hammer head. I\'d add a few more highlights of your brightest metal on some of the edges... Of course if you\'re gonna weather it or bloody it up then you don\'t really need to.

Just a thought on the metalics tho for instance the RH weapon. The banded metal would look good as a brass to offset the two colors. Just a thought. The metals do look awesome. Could you take your pics with a white cbackground next time. The background stuff can get distracting.

Sorry it took so long to reply yes the slate is pinned and superglued and greenstuffed. That sucker is not coming apart i needed it to be solid enough for me to pick it up for gaming so it\'s all secured.

Ok i\'ll take some pics tonight and post them on a better background. I have done the shaggy fur now as it needed to be done before flesh/details.

Anyone got any tips on amazing rusty swords the big cleaver in his left is going to be rusty and the only tutorial i have is from the GW Ogre Kingdoms book and looks like this:

so anyone got any ideas?
