He all! I grab this game not long ago and I am itching to try it out whit my friend, but, something bug me: No where it is said the monster are moving around, yet , they have a movement stats. Also, since they can only respond to a attack and not act by themself, I fail to see the need for it.Can someone shed some light on this for me?

When you attack a monster, it gets to attack back, but it also gets to move. There's an example in the rulebook of (I think) a Minotaur that moves before attacking in order to hit more players.
The monsters are mainly on the board to restrict movement and guard spaces/objectives. If you try to move past a monster or try to attack a hero while you have a monster close the monster will attack you. When you attack a monster, the person to the right can control the monster and one of his options is to move the monster a bit based on the movement value. In the expansion, there are further options to move the monsters but it actually works out pretty well in the base game with the limited movement. The maps are fairly small and they do a good job guarding areas of the map. You can't just ignore the monsters in this game.
