I might lighten up the highlights a bit and maybe glaze some purples or greens into the shadows (or a little of both).

Also the mold lines on this one are pretty nasty still. Are you able to clean those up at all?

Not much else I can say as I figure she pretty much just got rolling. Keep posting pics and we\'ll do what we can to help. :)

I\'ve always loved the artwork for Monique, but the mini is lacking. She has such a bitch face.

She needs eyebrows and eys. Those two things cause me to strip (and restrip) more minis. Once I\'m happy with them, then the rest seems to get easier.

i think the green lookss cool and neutral if you wash it with browns and brown/greens.
one more thing...MOULD LINES!!!!:cussing:lol

that almost looks like a mold mismatch.

That or there is an additional layer of armor on the front that is not on the back. Paint it different and it might look right. Try to make it the same and it will look wrong.

I\'d break out the files and putty.

P. S. I also see it on the top piece of leg armor and the bottom piece (foot cover).

the line is odd, it looks like it\'s been miscast, but it\'s only there. the rest was fine, it could be a devide in the armour so that\'s how i\'m taking it.

the armour needs to be more green but cheers for the advice on using brown to shade it. what do you think of the face?? i need to make it lighter i think??

The eyes don\'t look to bad. As far as the rest of the face goes, I\'d still lighten up the highlights on that and the tops of the breasts going almost to white on the smallest highlights. She chould still benefit from some purples in the shading on the skin, particularly under the brow ridge and in around the hairline.

Same story on the hair. I\'d darken the shadows and brighten the highlights with a lighter, less orange color by mixing something like bleached bone in with the original base so that the hair doesn\'t come off too bright and therefore atrificial. The shading on the hair I\'d do in a deep brown like scorched mixed with a little dark flesh maybe.

Oh, and one last thing, to make the eyes pop a little more you might put a very small dot of white in the middle of the blue on each eye or if you want to get really adventurous, a little dot of black with a little dot of white partially overlapping it and to the top.

then again, since you dread eye work, just the white dot might not be too much overkill and would really do a lot.
