Molotov and Heavy Gunner Orks, So what do you think?

Friar

Dorks for Orks
Here are the first two Orks for my latest mob of madness. The Molotov Ork is one of my first finished attempts at anything involving any real converting of a mini and my first time sculpting / painting fire so hopefully I got it fairly close to the mark.

Well without further ado

i really like the skintone, nice work there. a little more contrast on some areas wouldnt hurt tho, some of the reds and browns look a bit flat.

i like the mushrooms :)

I hear ya there, I've just started using testors dull coat and it really flattens things out. It's just proving tuff pushing the highlights to the point that they are over emphasized (tho I have that problem in general I just find it tuff painting in the high contrast fashion I just feel like it's getting cartoony and pull back) so that after they get the dull coat they look right.

I will say though that anyone who hates shiny on their minis where they don't want it, dull coat is the :poop: and in a totally good way.

The alternate orc skin looks great to me! Nice to see skin without green. As mentioned above, the base on the molotov-guy could be a bit smaller and the highlights on the cloathes a bit more (but you've already explained why).
I like the weathered effect on the gas-tank and the flames.

I love the pose of the second one. Very natural and finally see some other skin tones than green for orcs.
