Molding Blaster/Dark Lances

Hi all. I am new to posting here. I am so impressed with the quality of painting and sculpting here. Anyway here is my question.
How would I make a working mold of Dark Eldar weaponry? IE(Dark Lance/Blaster/) I have tried green stuff molds, Allumilite Casting Resin and Mold kit and Instant Mold. All end up as fail. If you could point me to a tutorial or a method of making these weapons without spending 9.99 a piece on ebay I would greatly appreciate it. Thank you in advance.

When you say it failed, what do you mean? Did it just not come out good enough? Hirst Arts has some good tutorials.

Yeah they come out very badly.

For best results you might have to go the whole hog and use a silicone mould and cast in liquid resin. This is sure to work, and work well - you should be able to produce near-perfect copies - but the initial setup costs won't be insignificant so I'm not sure where the break-even point would be (this partly depends on how much silicone & resin you buy of course, the type of both {many to pick from}, and which supplier you get them from).

So much information on Youtube that it would be redundant to post with only words about the topic, so I'll just say, browse youtube with searchwords such as tap plastics mold making mould making resin casting small parts composimold smooth on tutorial two part diy...

There's more info there than you'll need. Start with the Tap plastics mold making tutorials, they're high end and suitable for the hobbyist and if you're lucky you'll have a tap plastics nearby to buy from, if not no big deal resin, silicone, rtv etc...all available from loads of places on the net. Hell I've seen loads of tutorials on youtube dedicated to copying GW parts specifically.
