Hi,
my name is Mirko from Italy ( so please excuse me for my english ) and I'm a veteran beginner in miniature painting, in the sense that I've started looong time ago, mainly to play with minis, but when I realized there was noone close to me to play with I gived up. Then retied again... and gived up... few more time.
At the end, I painted 35-40 miniatures in 20 years, mostly using wash/drybrush approach.
1 year ago I decided to start painting just for paint and the fun begun. I managed to paint this one and was really happy (http://www.coolminiornot.com/pics/pics16/img5422b0a1dc1e3.jpg), then I had to quit for some months due to some personal issues... but really waiting to be able to paint again...
And here we are. This is the mini I'm working on actually, chosen to "remove dust from my brushes". Honestly I've discovered that it has not been a good choice: the lack of detail and the poor quality make me some difficulties. When i choose it I was willing to try something with multiple challenges ( skin , metal, cloth etc.. ) without the worries to ruin a "nice one", in order to prepare myself to the real work
