It is time to announce our 2nd Contest! Below you will find all the information.
Please make sure you understand these guidelines before entering.
Sci-Fi 2006
The Theme
The theme for the 2nd contest, broader than the last, Sci-Fi. This covers anything with a futuristic \"feel\" or \"atmosphere\". As you can probably imagine this gives lots of scope! You are not limited other than the sci-fi theme so you can let you\'re creative juices run wild! The only limitations we\'re giving are the following:
- You entry may include 1 or more miniatures – it is totally up to you.
- You may only enter once.
The competition is open to entries as of now. The deadline for submissions is Saturday July 1st 2006. This gives plenty of time to work on your entry.
How to Enter
A new forum has been created in the “Competitions and Polls” section named “The Second MiniPainters Contest – Entries”. This is the place to post your finished entry.
Entry Discussion
All entries posted in the Entries Forum can be replied to. Please keep any comments constructive.
The Write Up
Keeping in the spirit of helping other painters out and such, we ask that you post some sort of write up about your piece. It may be a full guide with step by step shots or your thinking process or how you painted a particular part you are proud of for example.
The Judging
All entries will go to a public vote on July 2nd 2006. MiniPainters staff will also have a private vote. These votes will make up 50% of the final vote each. Voting will last for 1 week and then the final results will be announced!
The Prizes
There will be a first, second and third place, each winning a prize as noted below.
1st Place - $50
2nd Place - $25
3rd Place - $10
Competition Sponsor
There will also be prize(s) thrown in from Dark Age games who are sponsoring this event (thanks to pr0fane). Pr0fane will be on the \"MP Staff\" judging comittee for this contest because of this. At the moment exact prizes from Dark Age are still to be confirmed, and will be announced at a later date.
Winners will also have their entries showcased on the front page of the MiniPainers.com website once it has launched.
