Milk does a body good......

I have been recently ridiculed for getting rid of milk by family and friends. I am very picky on the subject and once milk starts going bad, I through it out. Some claim that it hasn\'t changed at all. Often that change is around 10-12 days for me. Is this just me being picky or am I not the only on this?
How long does your milk last?

in italy we buy it every 2-3 days

2 days and I drink it straight. 4 days and it only gets put in coffee. 7 days unopenned and it gets used for rice pudding (a common evening meal in Denmark, I kid you not).

One pint lasts us just about a day.
I don\'t use it in tea (or coffee at home) and very rarely (almost never) drink it neat.

Don\'t know..Im severly Lactose intolerant.. so Ive not had milk in over 20 years.

But I would think 7-10 days after opening.

:|~I’m the “milk canary” in my family, if starts tasting the least bit off, I dump it down the drain. I find my milk lasts about 6 days in the summer and 9 days in the winter.<-----do to the fact the door is opened more offend in summer

If your milk has a chance to go bad, buy smaller containers. It only starts going bad after being opened.

Also, don\'t throw it out, make cottage cheese!

One gallon of whole milk and one gallon of skim every 3 days here. Generally, we don\'t have much go bad, but as long as it doesn\'t taste sour, I drink it.

I get 1/2 gallon probably every 2 weeks, as I pretty much only have it with cereal.

With how pasturized everything is here, it easily lasts that amount of time without any ill effects of going bad

1. neat
2. with coffè
3. with mint (MHHHHH)
4. with smashed banana (MHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH)

i go through 2 pints a day usually. i drink it neat. on pint on my morning break, one in the afternoon. as for the stuff i keep at home, 2 pints will last me a week (although i usually chuck the last bit as it has gone off!)

Having grown up on a farm, I can\'t stand the stuff you get in the store. So I rarely drink milk, Unless I have a stack of Oreos or chocolate chip cookies!

Now with two daughters and a day care, we do go through a gallon every two days.

3 of us, one an 8 year old......28 pints a week. The boy drinks up to 2 pints a day....solid as a rock.

doesn\'t hang around long enough to go off.
