Redditch Wargaming Society, Scanners Offline and Worcester Wargames are proud to present...
MIDLANDS MAELSTROM 2!!!
After our incredibly successful first bash at running a Dropfleet Tournament, and accidentally becoming the largest national tournament in the UK, we knew we'd be back for a second round.
And we want YOU, Admirals!
PLAYER LIST:
Matt Purdie (TO)
Jason James (Co-TO) (paid)
Will Francis (paid)
Charlie Hamilton (paid)
"How many points?"
Why thank you for asking good sir. It's 1250pts.
"Where is it?"
We're holding MM2 at Worcester Wargames again, where we have room for up to 28 players. Don't miss out on a ticket! Worcester is handily located in roughly the middle of the UK, meaning no excuses, northerners and southerners!
"What date?"
We'll be throwing down on the 28th April 2018. This is a SATURDAY, two weeks after Salute. So your partner can give you permission to go to both!
"What scenarios will be used? I want to get practising!"
Hold your horses there, keen bean. While the Official Tournament Pack has served the community well, there are some areas we feel we can improve on, and TT Combat agreed with us! So... (drum roll please)... we will be releasing our own updated RedWarSoc Tournament Pack! You can find it attached below soon, but right now I'm still writing it... some scenarios will just be tweaked, some might be removed completely, but I'm aiming for SIX scenarios in the pack, rather than 5.
"What's the schedule for the day?"
8.30-9.00am Arrival, registration and setup.
9.00-12.00pm Game 1.
12.00-12.30pm Break for food.
12.30pm-3.30pm Game 2.
3.30-4pm Break.
4pm-7pm Game 3.
7pm-7.30pm Final results, prizes, pack up.
"What will I need to bring?"
Players will need two copies of their Fleet List, one for TO, one to show opponents, and all equipment for their own fleets.
"Do I need to submit a list to you?"
Yes please! But not until a week before the tournament. Please send them to my email; purdie_yonex@hotmail.co.uk
"I'm in! How do I buy a ticket? TAKE MY MONEY"
A ticket costs £10, you can send this via PayPal to paypal@redwarsoc.com (Stuart Davies), please choose "Pay for goods or services" as this then protects you as the buyer. Please add a note in the format "Midlands Maelstrom 2 2018 (Spring) Ticket - Full Name" Follow this link: https://www.paypal.me/RedWarSoc/10.
No physical tickets will be distributed but you will need to sign in on the day.
"I want to stay the Friday night in Worcester, where could I stay?"
