Many Questions

I have the early french version of the rulebook thingy, so I have no idea really on how the game works(other than the fact that its skirmish).
SO heres the questions...

1.Who can ally with who?

2.How do I find out the troops type(champion, mage, elite, basic grunt, etc)?

3.Are there any unit types I must have?
(A commander I\'m guessing?)

4.How many points is the average game?

5.How many models on average?

6.Where do I find the fluff? Is there any?

Thank you for any help you can supply!

I\'m no expert on the game, but I\'m going to try to help you as much as possible...

1.Who can ally with who?

see pages 69-70 of the (french) rulebook

2.How do I find out the troops type(champion, mage, elite, basic grunt, etc)?

You can find this on the reference card that comes with your mini.

3.Are there any unit types I must have?
(A commander I\'m guessing?)

No, a game is perfectly possible with only foot troops for example.

4.How many points is the average game?

You can have a lot of fun with 200 points, but less is also possible. Don\'t really know about the average game, I guess it\'s somewhere around 300-400.

5.How many models on average?

200 points = about 5 - 12 (guess)

6.Where do I find the fluff? Is there any?

Errr.... fluff?

Also!
I would like to play either undead evil dwarves(do they have a proper name?), or alchemists.
I prefer the more interesting models(who doesnt?) Tigers of dirz,The scarecrow dude, Abyssal stalkermachalits, Zombie wolfen, Huge spikey clone guys.
That sorta thing anyway Ive winded on long enough for now!

Again Thank you!

Thanks a ton Corvus, that was fast!

Fluff=backround, what has/is happening in the world of confrontation.

Yes they have: Dwarves of Mid-Nor.

I don\'t know if you own some minis already, but a good place to start is rackham-store.com. Just browse the site and soon enough you\'ll find an army that you really like.

I\'m working on a griffin army: I just buy the miniatures I like (because I\'m more into painting than into gaming) and add these to my army. Because of that I always loose, but it\'s the most fun way of collecting an army I think :)

Well all the armies you were interested in are all in the same alliance. So I would just start an army of wich you like the most models and just add the rest as allies. 30% of your points can be allies, so there is no problem there....
