Making copies of things

My super heavy artillery tank only has 2 shells that I can use for the model. I want to make a bunch of copies of the plastic thing. I am not sure as to how I should go about that. How can you make larger size molds? It is a couple inches big and I dont want to use GS as it is a bit expensive. I don\'t like using sculpey stuff as it doesn\'t hold the details well, perhaps I am doing something wrong with this. All ideas welcome.

Try using Milliput. I made some press block or whatever they are called out of it and it worked well for me. It shouldn\'t be a problem for something like a tank shell. Its cheaper than gs too ;) Hope this helps.

Two part RTV silicone rubber to make you a mold, then two part resin (or plaster for less $) to make the shells? Going to be a bit pricey doing it. $20-40 for a quart of rubber, then about the same for the casting resin.

Smooth On makes both parts.

Lots of others to choose from as well, but I have used these and they work well.
