My summer WiP is done, this is what the model looks like after completion:

The idea is a represent the flyer in the misdt of, or returning from mission, hence the scratches and chips received from incoming fire. Being an Imperial vehicle, it is supposed to be rather well maintained, so no rusting.
This was my first attempt at color modulation, I really like how the wings and fins came out, even though I went a bit heavy-handed with camo and weathering.
I decided to work on my airbrushing skills with this model, which was about 70% was airbrushed. Brushwork was limited to the cockpit area, the lenses and the edge highlights of the weapon systems, which was probably the longest single step I used the brush for. all the washes were done with oil paints, which made a huge difference on the final tone of the weapons by preventing the Charadon Granite basecoat from darkening.
I was experimenting with liquid latex masking for paint chips and had issues rubbing off some of the chips because of the sheer amount of layers involved between the basecoat, the modulation and the camo pattern. I ended up with a few mishaps where the whole layers of paints came off, down to the primer. Newt time I'll consider rubbing off and redoing the chips between the basecoat, the modulation and the camo to make them easier to go.
I used 31 2 mm diameter magnets to attach the weapons and the wings, which can be detached for ease of transportation.
Using lots of sub-assemblies (about 25) made the modulation of camo much easier to do as I was free to manipulate and mask zones as needed, not to mention place camo stencils is needed.
This isn't a display model, it will say tabletop action by the end of the month I'm hoping Ito keep the momentum to paint the other vehicles of my Elysean army up to this standard!

As usual, C&C is encouraged and welcome! I'm always striving to improve or work on a different technique with each new model/batch I'm doing, let me know what should be next on my agenda.
