Magic Sculp?

I was wondering if any of you folks have used Magic Sculp for a project that has been cast. The material looks easy enough to use and is a fraction of the cost of green epoxy putty (we\'re talking price per ounce of green ~ price per pound of MS) but I\'m hesitant to use it because I\'m worried that the finished sculptures might not be suitable for casting.

magi-sculpt

I have used magi-sculpt ALOT. I use it excelusively because of cost and can 95% of the time do what I need. It is soft and VERY workable. Adheres to most things very well (press it on well first). It is workable for about 1-1 1/2 hrs. Totally hard in about 8-10.....better a day to be sure. It gets good and hard, just not ROCK hard. If you are trying to carve REALLY tiny detail after it has set it can be difficult. You might save some of the more expensive stuff for the really fine details. Good luck.

the hair on the mini in my avatar was done using it.

it\'s a lot less \"chewy\" and can get a little funny when doing very thing areas but i recommend it anyway. its never in that \"stick to your fingers\" stage making it much easier to use.

it\'s cetainly castable, just as good as any of the other putties on the market.
