Luis Royo miniature line?

Hey guys (wow long time! long time away from the forum and my minis)

I was wondering, Brom and Larry Elmore have a whole range that copies their art.
Is there going to be any royo stuff (aside from the 2 statues...)?
If you don\'t know, do you think there is gonna be?

He\'s one of my favourites!

While I\'m an appreciator of Royo\'s pictures there is a considerable difference between him, Elmore & Brom.

Both Elmore & Brom have taken (and provided) inspiration from Dungeons & Dragons and been commissioned for artwork for the game products. To the best of my knowledge Royo paints in a non-specific Genre and any figures would be therefore more than likely be specifically aimed at collectors of artistic statuettes and not Gamers or Painters.
Having said that Luis Royo also paints psudeo-erotic pieces which would go down well with adult collectors/painters but I could foresee a lot if indignant mothers if little \"Timmies\" started bring home some figures based on his artwork. (Dad\'s might like it though!)

Its all about the license fee and well some artists think a wee but to much of them selves and their license fees are out of this world. So in that case many pieces of art you might want to see made into a miniature will probablly never make it.

In a business where the profit margin is minimal, giving a artist 10-15% off the top is in most cases not a reality. And yes many do ask for this much..

We probably can all think of an artist we\'d like to see in minis.
I just don\'t think we can make it happen.

I recently learned that Frank Cho is having figures done of his artwork, but it\'s on a larger scale, comes prepainted, and sell for about $250 each so I won\'t be buying.
If there was only some way to convince him to sell unpainted copies....
