Thanks Sam :) He was indeed painted for the comp, but I wasn\'t happy with the result. I\'ve spruced him up a lot. I don\'t think I could paint him any better now, unless maybe if I stripped the paint and started again lol

I love that overhead view - like a proper toad. Not my style overall, but I\'m not knocking the quality of it. 8.5 from I!

That is really good stuff, Bill! I like the realism of it! The base is well done, too. The yellow areas on the front side of the frog looks slightly blotchy, but otherwise it\'s great!

What ever happened to the Slann - they were rogue trader wernt they? I think GW needs to bring more aliens into the fray - BRING BACK THE SLANN - :cussing:

wow

this is an excellent paint job on a very uncommon model (don\'t see many around!!!).

It does truly look more realistic with your flesh tones than pretty much any lizard model on this site.

I have to agree that the underbelly appears a bit splotchy, more so than even real animals would be, but in a way, it fits...maybe a few more glazes to add a bit of shading in parts of the underbelly?

basing is fantastic, realistic and fits the model beautifully.

hope he brings in enough for the geko mate.

Wow man, that\'s a pretty fabulous paintjob. Never seen a Lizardman model painted in a realistic color scheme :D

The eyes and the shading on the face really is amazing once you take a close look. Super cool model, one that would look equally at home in a display cabinet or in a terrarium :D

Thanks so much for all your comments guys! :) He\'ll be going up for auction this weekend. I know what you mean about the underbelly - I redid it several times, and while I\'m pleased with some of the transitions (I think the whitest highlights turned out quite well), there were a few bits I just couldn\'t get right. In fact, the whole thing took a lot of doing and redoing, but I think that\'s partly what gives him such a natural look - the big range of colours. I never used to use lots of colours for one area, as it were, but it\'s something I\'ll be trying again in the future.

By the way, here\'s a crested gecko like the one I should be getting in a couple of weeks :)
