does anyone know the size of these creatures? i want to sculpt one for a diorama but have no idea what size they would be in comparison to a IG trooper.

The Loxatl are sinuous, non-humanoid quadrupeds evolved from amphibian forms.
they are extremely swift and dexterous,
and use large dew-claws to give them purchase on any surface, allowing them to
run up walls and across ceilings. Out of water, the vision, hearing, and smell
of these grey-skinned aliens is dull, and they rely on powerful taste and vibration
sensing to hunt and corner prey.
The Loxatl use a weapon of alien design known as a flechette blaster. They carry these
powerful weapons, along with ammunition bandoliers, on their torsos, mounted on
mechanical armatures that fire the weapon via some unknown mind impulse device
and leaves a Loxatl\'s limbs free for climbing.
The blaster fires deadly shot-bursts filled with millions of razor-sharp filaments
that shred grievous wounds in flesh and armour.
Loxatl are believed to operate in small, \'brood group\' units of biological kin,
communicating by vibration, subsonic calls, and, when in close proximity,
iridescent patternings that they are able to flash and move across their skins.
Imperial Guardsmen have reported that nearby Loxatl activity can often be
detected by a nauseating smell, a mix of rancid milk and crushed mint.
Contact with the Loxatl have mostly been reported by Imperial Guardsmen
who have come across them as mercenaries serving various enemies of the
Imperium, notably the armies of Chaos Warlord Urlock Gaur during the Sabbath
Worlds crusade (8th century, M41). Tactical reports show Loxatl to be
particularly resistant to lasfire. Solid ammunition weapons are recommended when
contact with Loxatl mercenaries is anticipated.

The 13th black crusade background book features them including a colour plate.
Roughly man sized ...smooth aphibious skin and gun mounted on a harness.
pretty cool looking..look forward to seeing how you do.

Looks like it\'s been answered, but I would have had to guess roughly mansized based on the quote you posted.
1- they are hired as mercenaries. To be considered worth hiring, they must be big enough to be threatening with their projectile weapons.
2- Solid projectile weapons are recommended. Thus they must have a large enough frame to be a target of something other than spread-effect weapons.
3- they can\'t be too big because if their size were at all threatening, the description would have noted it (“these huge amphibians....”). Also, the claws are described as used for climbing, not as weapons. I imagine something the size of a small alligator, but with longer limbs and larger head like a gecko.
