Looking for a Rune Giant

I've been trying for quite a while to locate figures to portray rune giants for a Pathfinder game I'm running. If you don't know what I mean, take a look at some of Wayne Reynolds' cool cover art from The Spires of Xin-Shalast: http://paizo.com/image/content/RiseOfTheRunelords/Pathfinder6CoverIllo.jpg

We're talking about giants 40 or 50 feet tall, their basalt-grey skin covered with glowing runes. Their lamellar armor and ornate weapons carry obvious oriental influences. This would make an appropriate mini 7 to 8 inches tall (That's about 18 to 20 cm tall for you non-yanks...).

I've seen a couple of collectable samurai figures that could be modified, but cost a small fortune. Hopefully someone here could suggest a better solution!

Hrm. There's got to be a He-Man or GI Joe type of action figure at the toy store that'd come close? Most of them would be easy to glue the joints solid and stick on a base, then primer and paint after any modifications and gap fillingd you'd need to do. Toys are usually cheaper than models, especially the collectible ones. I'd check for toys online first though. Obviously, it's much quicker to find stuff.
