Looking for a great Zombiecide carrying case?

I know a few people have posted their finds for game cases and i know about the foam one, but I came across this little guy in walmart yesterday 100% by accident and thought i would share with ya what i found.

I wanted something that was as compact as possible, but would also carry all 3 zombiecides - Including gameboards

Plano 1155-03 (This pic is from Amazon for $22 CAD - I found mine at Walmart for 17 bucks on sale)

I did a little modding

I removed the first row of deviders roughly with some cutters.. This made a space that was PERFECT for the gameboards

Then spent about 15 minutes with a sharp xacto and a little patients to clean up the surface and ensure it is nice and smooth so it cant damage the gameboards.. I glued in the last row of dividers to complete the compartments and started filling the case up with all my stuff

As you can see, i have my gameboards (enough room to fit ALL of them), rule books, and player cards in the large compartment. I have my card decks, dice, doors/ect (anything setup based) all in the top cubbies..

Under the top layer, I have all my zombies.. here i havent put in the prison ones (i have yet to buy S2 - Soon!). My runners, walkers, fatties, and abom's from each game are neatly sorted, the middle will be for my s2 ones and other extra packs..

the bottom have my sound tokens (because they are used throughout play), Survivors, zombivores, an empty space for my dog companions which are in the mail, and my zombiedogs!!

As you can see, everything packs up nice and neat, there is room for all 3 games, and everything stays organized too, all for under 20 bucks!

I was going to put some felt in the bottom of the compartments and such, but meh.. i dont have painted zombies, and the plastic is okay by me :)

Thanks for looking!

They fit.. I went to a game store yesterday and ensured they would by trying to put a PO tile pack in there. Its hard to see in the pic, but there is still room in the case (about 1/2"). Course, i wont be able to fit any other expansions, as putting the PO set in there will surely max this case out

yup they fit. The only think i cant fit in, is the rubble from TCM and the manuals..

manuals are okay.. im trying to find a solution for the 4 rubble tokens.. they do fit ontop of the other tiles,. but then it pushed the lid about 1mm (or 1/8th")

other then that, everything fits,.. and i have the toxic city and regular walk of the dead expansions, as well as companion, and zombie dogs in the bottom too

I got my case in today and filled the bottom portion. It's amazing how those three boxes can be condensed down so much. I need to do the cutting in the top level still, but I think I'll leave that for tomorrow night.

The stack of tiles is slightly higher than the side walls of the top layer, but the lid is domed a bit so it looks like it gives you just enough space. I'm not too worried about the manuals as I have the latest revisions on my iPad (along with the downloadable scenarios) and read them there when I need to.

Ok, I finished cleaning out the top for the tiles and all 22 fit, but there is no room for the character sheets, rubble and Prison Outbreak guard towers, so it looks like I'll need to come up with a supplimental container for those.

Would this also make a good Rivet Wars carrier? The models are bigger so I'd like an idea if it would also work for that. :)

I'm going to pick one up for Zombicide but if I could use a 2nd one shipping becomes free.

I was coming to report my 98% success with this tackle box as well. I'll have to do this because I found the exact same issue. ALMOST enough room....

What did you end up coming up with? I still have the character sheets left not fitting into the case. With no manuals I can put the rubble across the top and it JUST fits.

Wish they'd update the iPad app and get the new survivors in there!

I haven't done it yet, but I'm leaning towards getting a 3 ring binder (maybe one if the Zombicide ones off Etsy) and getting 2-pocket protector sheets and put the cards and other stuff in there and 3-hole punching the manuals.

They said they are working on the app, but it's definitely not happening fast.

Good Ole Martha Stewart to the rescue. I found some sheet protectors for the character dashboards.

The pictures below are Martha Stewart Home Office with Avery Secure-Top 2-Pocket Sheet Protectors. Each pack has ten sheets, and each pocket could hold more than one card, but I only put one in each so players can review both sides when choosing who to play. I picked these up tonight at my local Staples.

I'm also going to use full sheet protectors and print out the online missions. As for the manuals, I'll probably just three-hole punch them and put them in that way.

That is fabulous Zed! Nice find. I'll have to get a 3-ring binder somewhere else though. Seems Etsy doesn't have them anymore. :(

Yeah I never got around to ordering the Zombicide binder, so I just picked up a 3" binder from Staples while I was there for now. I printed out all the downloadable missions and just finished putting away the second half of the Season 2 shipment I received today and it all still fits well.
