Loads of Dreadfleet

Hullo!

Over the last week I painted up two sets of Dreadfleet. It was a bit of a mission, but I came through pretty much unscathed and am very pleased with the final standard considering how long they took.

I don't want to fill this post with a ridiculous amount of pictures so it's probably best you check them out directly from my gallery at http://www.coolminiornot.com/artist/lono/orderby/Descending?browseid=1026495 if you wouldn't mind. :)

I have the full set and each individual ship for sale on eBay if anybody wants to get hold of Dreadfleet stuff too. http://www.ebay.co.uk/sch/figoth/m.html

Strangely, I'm not totally sick of painting ships just yet. I am thinking of doing a few to a much higher standard and basing them up together. But for now, I'm chilling out and having a bit of a painting break!

And here's a taster of a couple of the ships. Loads more and different views in my gallery.

Those water tone are fantastic. Would you mind sharing with us?
I did all of the ship bases while they were on the sprue. Sprayed them black then used my airbrush to work up the blue, begining with Hawk Turquoise and working it up with more white. Once I'd done that, I applied tones of colour across it using green, blue and purple washes with the airbrush. When that was dry I did a light white drybrush in areas to pick out the tops of waves.

Thanks for the comments people. Can't take credit for the sail freehand though as the detail is actuall sculpted onto the sails.

They did pretty well for me in the end on the bay of E. Some of the individual things went really cheap, but it balanced out. Got me some pennies in the bank. :D
