OK, I thought it might be a cool idea to start a painting thread on here and log my progress on the hobby projects I'm doing etc and hopefully get comments and feedback from you guys to help me improve and progress.....

So, the story so far is I'm wanting to paint a Lord of the Rings Corsairs of Umbar army for Armies on Parade this year with a cliché pirate paint scheme as a bit of twist.
I have made a start on the minis and have even scratch built a corsair galley for the display board so far some pics of which I'll post up following this intro.

The plan from here is really to track the display board build and the remaining army painting.

Would love to hear your thoughts on things so far :D

Thanks man... erm, the parrot came as part of a pirate banner I had... not really sure where it was from... I'll try and work it out though cos they might do more pirate stuff ;)
