leather help

just about to start a 58mm model with a long leather jacket and i was wondering if anyone knows of any links to or how to paint brown leather all advice or links will be most appreachiated

First of all - do you want nice shiny new leather, almost like PVC?

Or old, worn, tatty, bomber-jacket leather?

old, worn, tatty, bomber-jacket leather want the model to look like hes been through a fight or 12 lol

the hat at the bottom is similar to the colour i want but just a little more worn

although i do like the pirate hat ??? which colour to do lol

I should as it\'s mine, however........ it was done a while ago
definitely a base of bestial
basically you want to start with the darkest brown you have and highlight up to a bit lighter than normal
then you need to glaze it with a brown glaze, that\'s leaning toward the orange, not too much tho
do a practice on an old mini first
it\'s getting the glazes right that makes look like leather

Top one: blending and/or layering (dead easy). Bottom one: stippling of one kind or another.

thanks for all the advice ive just gotta finish gettin rid of the mold lines found more when i sprayed it :cussing: so will post pics of the leather when ive got it done
