Lack of service from Arcane Miniatures

Anyone had any recent dealings with Arcane Miniatures as I am not at all impressed with the lack of service I have received from them!!! Ordered & paid for 2 items last Wednesday & paid extra for Recorded Post. Received an automatic response over the Easter weekend informing that normal service would resume on Tuesday. All I am asking for is an email response to 3 requests for confirmation that when & if the items have been sent, still got emailed their regular update last might!!

With the demise of Gamers Quest I am feeling that UK suppliers are not up to providing a competant service!!

I\'ve heard good things about wargames workshop.

Please let us know if it ends happily though Neil. I like the look of those corvus bel minis (like I need any more minis :duh: )

@niel h, i haven\'t had any problems with arcane miniatures.

have a chat with them, i am sure they will sort things out.
there is a phone number on there site as well as email address.

Hmmm...

Neil, I think you are being a little unfair. The Easter break means that absolutely nothing happened for four days, not just at Arcane Miniatures, but more importantly at the Post Office.
Also, recorded delivery is not the same as express delivery...it just means a signature is required.
Most of these business are really quite small and I would imagine that Mr Arcane Miniature and his staff have actually been expediting orders, since returning from the Easter break, rather than sitting with their feet-up playing with emails???

I thought Gamers Quest were still trading?

I agree with Finn and from experience of running an online miniatures retail business... holiday time always causes dispatch problems as highlighted above... I\'ve dealt with Russ from Arcane and he\'s a solid sort of bloke, I doubt he\'s being tardy without a good reason.

Regarding informing me of the posting, they actual state that they will let you know when an item is being sent if you request it! So I am not being unfair just expect a bit of service that they state they will provide. I have had a package come from Germany in just 3 days this week!!

I\'ve had problems too. Used in the past, been fine. This time, no goods, no response to e-mails and no-one there when I ring up. Been over a month now.

I was fairly relaxed, assuming some problem that beset small businesses, then I too received the newsletter - which must be sent by someone.

I don\'t know what\'s going on. I truly hope that \"they\" are OK but I also do not want to lose my money...

Oh, and GQ are still going - think they\'re part of someone else. As is Artemis Black - still going I mean , and...some others. :)

Certainly seems to be a lack of decent web retailers around now in the UK.

Artie Black\'s is excellent though - here\'s hoping he updates his stock and starts selling Rackham stuff... :)

Forgive me for I am dense and slow....You no longer have anything to do with GM????

And if, I am right...the same guy has taken over GQ as well? Who is this guy? Nothing slanderous of course, but both outlets appear to have gone down the tubes as far as I am concerned. Particularly GQ who I was becoming particularly fond of.

No - I\'m no longer involved with GameMart as I sold it last year to concentrate on my other business(September I think) - and Jean from GQ, I believe, sold or merged earlier this year - both are now controlled by Tabletop Games.

Ah, thanks for that info...

All I can say is he\'d better pull his damn socks up pretty smartish because both sites have all the appeal of a recent corpse at the moment....
I know I wasn\'t a huge customer of yours....but I was getting seriously into GQ for the diversity they offered, not to mention Jean\'s personal touch which was second to none.
He\'ll have to work a lot harder than he currently is to recoup my business. Simple updates would do for a start...

Just received a full refund, so I\'m not out of pocket. No other information though. No explanation. Strange. Very strange.
