Knights or Pyromancers to supplement the 2P Starter?

So, I'm taking the Lanni portion of the 2P Starter Box. I've only played one game. I'm TRYING to limit my Lannister purchasing in effort to save for Free Folk, so I'd prefer to buy just 2 extra boxes, but I'll probably get 3. The candidates for me are the Heroes 1 box, Pyromancers, and Knights. I'd prefer to get the Heroes box and 2 of either Knights or Pyromancers (not 1 of each).

I'm kind of leaning towards 2 boxes of Knights and the Heroes 1 box b/c I like the idea of cavalry flanking and I really want Tywin (and The Hound, sure). But Pyromancers just look cool and I'm really digging their rules, even if they'll get nuked quickly.

Do you guys have any additional input? Is it as simple as just preference of speed/charging/hard hitting vs pseudo-range/glass cannons? Are there any general nuances or combos w/ NCUs that I'm not noticing?

100% the Knights, these guys are just awesome, Lannister Supremacy and morale 6 means they will hurt the enemy on the enemies turn, armour 3+ means they can stick around all game and with sundering and critical blow on the charge will decimate anything they get into contact with, and will be the fastest unit the Lannisters have. Pyromancers are just a gimic and will probably be wiped out after your first attack.

Thanks for the replies. Yeah, I was thinking Knights would be the answer. I still want some cool cloaked creepy old guys throwing fireballs around, but...Knights are Knights.

Apart from Knights being knights they also give you a fast unit.
Which drastically alters stuff. Highly recommended to add a fast unit in *any* army.

Just my 2 cts. Peace and happy wargaming. :)
