Khorne Lord *Need Help deciding and painting*

I need a Nice colour scheme for my New Khorne Lord i\'m working on.
He is about to be primed and I need help with a colour scheme.

Something that is dark or bright is what i\'m looking for.

I was thinking of Vallejo Model colour Hull Red and Vermilion.

Probably layering or wet blending it for the armour.
Since i\'m only doing the head, weapons and gloves/hands will be red the rest will be black because it is khorne but they are part of undivided.

I want to do Freehand work on the black areas maybe do Chinese Elements. The Power fist will have a orange outline of the Khorne Symbol and then highlighted with a yellow.

Should I just highlight the black areas or fill the armour with a freehand work?
I was thinkning of souls...But what colour to do the souls freehand work in??

So if you guys could help me on this that\'d be great!

What you should do is:

Give it a bash and see if you like it, try out the scheme YOU think is best. Then if you need any specific advice, take a picture stick it up in this thread or the submissions thread and everyone will no-doubt give you bucket loads of great advice.

Trust your own opinion, gut feelings and paint the bugger!

Khorne is a difficult sod because of the limitations. The preconcieved look as per GW army listings is predominantly red and gold, I like to do Khorne devotees in very dark reds and the metaslised areas in very tarnished looking golds and coppers. I usually start with a black primer this helps keep the colours you place on top dark.
Like Donga says though give it a go and then see if you like it then if you want more advice or ideas then post a pic and let the Cmon community help you out.

one other suggestion would be red with bone trim on the armour. never seen it on 40k stuff but it looks ok on fantasy.

Alright I was wondering of doing something similair to this

I like it or something that is darker.

I really want something that is appealing to the Judges at my Local GW store because i wanted to win this prize.

And i\'m entering in Youngbloods. Much of the judges look for blending or something they love or like, as in appealing to them

So please do help!
