Well, I like it. It looks like a really good paint job, nicely chosen colours etc and I like the base too. You may have benefited from using a plain light background when taking the photo to brighten the photo up and make it a bit clearer but, as I said, very nice pice. I particularly like the trousers and shield. Well done.

thanks guys.

the base will hopefully get retouched someday, but for now its a little piece of memory from that frantic friday, i painted 12 models to this standard in just a couple of hours before my train for gothenburg left.

about the pic, its taken in my kitchen, i dont really have the space for any set-up at all, but its not that dark compaired to the irl model.

It looks pretty good, but the pics are very small so it\'s hard to see details. And the base rim is messy... These factors WILL pull your scores down, I\'m afraid.

well it is a repost and i havent had the heart to paint the rim, its a classic now.

bigger pics can be found in my blog on the NCORD forum:

its all in swedish im afraid but theres pics of ongoing stuff aswell as some finished, the keratis is one of them.

Swedish is not a problem :D

... for me! :innocent:

You got some nice stuff there in your painting log... How come you don\'t post the bigger photos here?

i have posted the originals on other sites and gotten the same answer, to close and to revealing, they never got any attention except bad attention.

so now i have to find a golden middle way, problem is this pic actually showed up alot larger in Photoshop than it ended up looking online. might be some compression stuff going on at photobucket i guess.

swedish rules btw.

Pics are a bit small and the background is distracting. Still looks like a great job to me, and looking at that handy scale, that would be an 8.

Photobucket has a setting for file size. I think default is quite small, but you can just change that. I set mine to 1 MB, I think... the largest... If pictures are above the set file size they will be resized automatically.

Yep, pics are too small.

If you want to see pics the size they\'ll appear on screen, select your zoom tool in Photoshop, right click (or click on the Option Bar at the top of the screen) and select \'Actual Pixels\'.

As a general rule go with maximum dimensions of 600px wide by 550px high to get ALL of your image on screen on CMONs main pages. You can then paste the image into a montage if you want different views, but it always help to be able to see the whole mini on screen.

Bigger pics will allow a more accurate appraisal of your painting skills (which are very good btw - particularly your use of colour....). Large pics are no more revealing than allowing someone to look at your stuff IRL. Get them up man!

But then again if you want comments that reflect the mini you painted you need the picture to show the actuall mini, not just a small dot in the middle of the screen. If you want to improve and get real feedback, get the thick skin suit out and post decent pics.

On the mini from what I can see it looks really nice (would rate it 8) but bigger pics would be good :)

i have no problem with criticism if its real, people telling me the model sucks and that i cant paint at all is not what i want.

next mini i post will get larger pics.

thanks all for the words of wisdom, it is valued.

Well you can paint (pretty well by the looks of it) and it aint a bad model.

Im sure here you won\'t get those kind of responses.

Where were people saying this? Perhaps they are all GW fanboys :p

Very well painted.

You have to improve 2 things:
- the base
- the picture

These 2 items are the reasons for the average score you have. There is a lot of potential in you and the mini you painted.

Keep it up
