I am painting this for my mom, most expensive set yet, I think, beause usually I won't get such an elaborated base (6 USD), too bad there are a lot of bubbles on the resin, the one on the lizard's tail is easy, the one on the coins are a bit tricky...
the mini itself is pricy as well, but I had a good at her this morning and my gosh, it's well worth the money (15 USD)
In preparation of this I picked a tiny lizard and painted it a few days ago, it's a Reaper mini (about 2 USD)
as I was in a bit of a rush with this i used eproxy last night to do a bit of filling first. will be using the household putty when i got my hands on one.
did pinning for the arms and the lizard, used eproxy to merge the base of the lizard to the resin base not easy =..= I think i need to throw in some sand mix on that patch too.
did a lot of the priming, with the based I used two color so that it will be a bit easier to do the pots
applied metal transperant primer to the mini and applied a very thin coat of skull white prime
can't resist the temption to do the face, so I base coated the hair, then did the face and the all important eyes
it turns out ok I think, her face is a bit fat though...
A bit of a belated update, I painted all these with wash, trying to see if I can use glazing with wash.
The result is a very pale look on her, the color is much much less solid than base coat - highlight. but that's just one layer of wash, will see if more layers would help.
ok finally got the base coat of the base done....
actually I can't resist the temptation to do the coins right, also the lids of the pots...
pretty happy with the color of the pots, they really look old and dirty now.
the coins are fun to paint actually, but I can't do scatter or random well so the silver coins arrangements could be better
standing proud on the base, did a few fix up with the glided bits of the coat, also did the pistols, will post more close up after I put on the highlights on the base...
and I need to do the lizard eyes ... fun time =..=
