I don\'t know Khador particularly well, myself. But I know Karchev is particularly annoying to deal with (for me).
From what I\'ve seen, he\'s best supported by units that can function with minimal support. Widowmakers are pretty independant, and solos like the Manhunter and Yuri are also solid additions.
Karchev usually wants \'jacks, so you might also want a little support in the form of mechaniks. They don\'t see use very often, and might surprise your opponents.

\"What are those?\"
\"Mechaniks\"
\"I\'ve never seen them on the table before.\"

I haven\'t seen the Spriggan in action, but there\'s a lot of debate on whether or not he\'s worth the points in the PP forums.

If you\'re doing Kharchev as your main \'caster, you actually will do pretty well with more \'jacks than normal. BarstoolProphet is pretty accurate when he says that mostly autonomous units that don\'t require a lot of help from the \'caster work best with Kharchev. Widowmakers are practically an auto-include for most Khador that I\'ve seen, as are Manhunters (and they\'re really, really high priority targets, since they can be devastating if not dealt with).

Mostly, though, it really comes down to what you do with what you have. Sure, there are \"killer combos\" and stuff in Warmachine, but even if you build an army list like that, I can promise you you\'ll hit some other list that will completely invalidate that combo. If you built your army as a one-trick-pony, you\'ll have a very hard time. A good, balanced army is generally better, as it\'s more flexible.

I wouldn\'t bother with Winterguard, unless you also get their Unit Attachments--they\'re just not worth it without them. Doomreavers can be a lot of fun, too, but if you\'re not careful they can eat through your own army thanks to their Berzerker rule.

Anyway, welcome to Warmachine!

welcome to warmachine porkchop

btw: aren´t you the guy who send me the pm about my deathjack ? ( sorry sometimes i can´t remember names )

my tip on Kharchev: give him a couple of berserker and a devastator (our khador player loves him). berserker are cheap , and thanx to his abillities you can use them with no chance of explosion .

Units: widowmakers, no dicscussion! and iron fangs are great, especially with the banner. and if you like man o wars, get the demolition corps , theyre better , unless you just wannt to hold a line then the shock troopersm might be worth theyre points.

for everything else:

there´s a great podcast on warmachine and hordes where they discuss lists and give tips and avices , here´s the link:

fellcallers

they got one episode that was all about khador , including vacations tips for the true patriot

listen to the guys , comrade and glorrious victory in the name of motherland will be yours :D
