They have been claiming to have a back log of orders for the better part of a year now but the other week they also claimed to have caught up with most lines except the very popular ones...I guess it all depends on what you ordered but at the end of the day it boils down to them wanting to maximise profit whilst have a small an outlay (minimum # of staff) as possible.

Mate if you get it within 28 days consider that light speed.

Usual delivery time is 2 - 3 months. took that long when I only ordered a set of terminator shoulder pads.

Well this, actually kinda depends... When I ordered Orks squigoth then it indeed took next to forever (close to 4 month). Since then I ordered twice various Korp of Krieg minies (not heavy or super-heavy) and I got those in three weeks

just ordered from forge world

I have ordered quite a large amount of product from them and they used to be able to get me my product when I lived in NYC within 2days w/free express shipping for orders of $500. Though since I have moved to North Carolina this year I have begun to notice the inconnsitency in their ability to get you pcs. in a timely fashion. I too have had problems with them and currently just recieved some pcs. for an order I placed back in April for Elysian Droop troops, Equip., and Weaps. I am still waiting on the Weaps. I feel that it\'s one thing to be inudated with the good fortune to have spiked in their sales and it\'s another thing entirely to be unprepared to handle it!! It\'s a good thing I stocked up on product before moving or I would be in trouble with my business. I put armies together for people and I am getting ready to open a store down here since it\'s the only way I can get GW to give me the break on price,(my intention was to just put up a website, but no one will sell to you wholesale without a store front.:cussing:
But to answer your question....Yes it has become a common practice with them to now take about a month and a half to get you your pcs. and sometimes even longer. Sorry:beer:

When I ordered my death korps minis from forge world I thought it would be quick delivery as I live in nottingham but when they didn\'t arrive within a month I phoned up, it turned out someone accidently canceled my order in the end I went to warhammer world and they had what I wanted in there stock room. One thing I would say about the forge world resin is it\'s the cheap nasty grey stuff. If your into garage kits then you will know this is the worst stuff to use the white hard resin is so much better. All the forge world stuff I have bought has had pin holes bubbles and some have had distortions where the mold has moved during casting.
I think when you deal with forge world you do so at your own risk, unless it\'s a chaos ogryn thing all the ones of them i\'ve seen have looked pretty well cast.

yeah I have had many problems with cracked and broken pcs.distorted mold lines that no matter how much sanding and scraping would ever fix and missing pcs. but I will say this any time I called and complained or had to send stuff back they have always been sports about it. Sending me other free pcs. for my own collection or free express shipping on missing or replaced pcs. the shipping over night from the UK to the states alone even for just a small pc. is about $100 bucks. But like you I have also had many problems with the DKK line(mold lines, bubbles and cracked pcs. or to much flare) and after a while free pcs. and shipping just doesn\'t make up for the frustration of dealling with them sometimes.:cussing: I wish they would cast with the other resin. At least you guys have the ability to go to the store....me I have no choice but mailorder and Games Day:eek: I will say this though the bigger the pc. the better with them. My thunder hawks and manta where in very good shape. I\'ve mostly had more problems with missing pcs.

I\'m adding nothing to this thread as my post would mainly consist of cynicism and vitriol.

All I will say is that while in the main the product may be good the people are not

not being any helpful on topic ...

... because I myself have not ever done business with forgeworld.

... but I\'m really surprised at the amount of discontent customers writing about their ordering misfortunes at cmon. I have never had any experiences like that.

I have been ordering minis on the internet all over the world for about 10 years now and have not ever once been disappointed.
I think I\'m not an easy customer because delivery adress is Germany - meaning foreign currency, foreign customs, and so on - but every parcel was perfectly packed and arrived mostly prior to advance notice. About half of the orders I got came even including a gift: some miniature, catalogue, bag of sweets, other like that.

The most bad encounter I ever had was when german customs held a parcel from USA until I paid the import duty for \"art, sculpture made of lead / partially lead\" for a leadfree miniature. Import duty was 100% of worth of goods. (cherished memory is the conversation with the tax officer. He says \" its here on the freight papers .. figure .. lead\", I say there is \"...figure .. leadfree\" . He says \"There is no special tax for leadfree, so pay up or we send it back\")

The most best encounter was when I complained to another USA company about missing parts that really weren\'t missing. They pointed my error out to me but nevertheless sent me a replacement AND another mini for free by AIR MAIL. (God bless them, someday I will make it good)

I have ordered from companies that are -hmm- strange. Those >I really want that mini, chance is worth the risk< orders went all well. I never got an order confirmation from those providers, I just got the goods delivered and an invoice.

Uhm, end of rant, this is of no use at all to You, I see that. I just wanted to point out there is not all bad.

Well most resins are white..to get gray you just add pigment. I cast a lot of resin with my business and it all starts out white. I just add a small amount of black pigment to get gray. Grey is easier to see.

As for the type of resin they use, I think they use a polyester based resin instead of a urethane. Polyesters tend to be harder and a bit more brittle.

Orderd a hierodule some time ago and it took 3 months to deliver...

I was just wondering why they don\'t get more staff or more molds for casting. After all this has been a problem for some time now, should be solved already. Can\'t be that difficult!?

And finally a good thing: Hierodule cast was in top condition, so finally the waiting was worth it.
