Just a noob here...

Been looking all over the place here, listening to people talk about NMM... Can\'t really find specifically what it means. I gather it has something to do with the lighting. Could somebody give me a specific definition to what NMM is?

NMM is when you paint metallic areas without using metallic paint. I think that\'s pretty much everyone\'s first question when they start hanging out here!

See how the sword is painted to \'look\' reflective and metallic. No metallic paints were used (NMM). Its pretty amazing, especially when its done by the experts.

Supervike and Dauber22 are the same person cloned and supermelded to SuperDauber. However the process is temporary and does manage to get reversed form time to time.
Regardless, he\'s the one who gibbers and drools in the corner. The rest of us are sane. That is not true! We are all obsessive compulsive types, subject to \"Bright New Shiney Toys\" syndrome, who drool over high quality paintjobs and are ready to take up arms in the age old arguement of NMM v Metalics.
We are also sarcastic, funny, constructivley critical (in the majority of cases), compassionate and occasionally helpful.
You know those mad wacky types of families that everyone secretly loves........We\'re a little like that, just slightly more scary. lol

Absolutely no reason to be ashamed. Most people enter this hobby through GW\'s games (I expect) where NMM is hardly ever seen on the tabletop. I expect most come here with the idea that washing and drybrushing represent the pinnacle of mini-painting too. Just having your eyes opened, mate, nothing more to it.

Our Red Setter was called \"Benn\". We got him as a pup 25 years ago and had him up until \'89 when we had to have him put to sleep. A dog with Character.
