For those who can\'t make it to any of his other classes...

From the Games Day Website:
http://gamesday.us.games-workshop.com/default.htm

7/10/07: Multiple Golden Demon and Slayer Sword winner, Jérémie Bonamant, will be at Games Day Chicago (July 28, 2007). Not only will he compete in what promises to be the hottest Golden Demon competition in the U.S. This year, but he has also offered to do a presentation talking about miniature painting theories and the way he applies them to his award-winning models. This seminar will be held on Saturday afternoon from 1 p.m. - 3 p.m. in our Seminar Room 51, upstairs.

For those of you who missed it, I have to say it was a very good seminar and I\'m glad Jeremie was gracious enough to stay a little over and show us his last presentation, as well as allow time for questions and a look at some of his painted works at the end.

He covered everything in good detail, and it was very interesting to get a glimpse at his unique wash- and glaze-based painting style of multiple layers over undercoat with selective highlighting.

I don\'t think I\'ll ever look at another figure again without focusing on yellow and purple/blue. Heh.

In all seriousness, though, many thanks for taking the time and effort to teach the seminar, Jeremie. And I have to say I\'m definitely glad I attended - it\'s broadened my perspective on painting quite a bit!

Yes, it was a great couple of hours. I posted my notes on my blog. >LINK<
Any word on the video making it to youtube at some point?

For the record, I was not one of the people trying to constantly supply the end of Jeremie\'s sentences. :p

:D I only noticed the one guy sitting a row or two behind Angela and Jeff. Hako, were you the guy with the white shirt who was waiting outside the door? I was with 3 other guys and I think we were second in line to you.

Yup, that was me! We won\'t talk about the shirt.... a friend of mine has a mail order business and I agreed to wear a shirt, not realizing that it would be that shirt.

It was a last minute decision to bring our brand spanking new camera to the seminar after a ninth hour plea from the organisers. We didn\'t tell anyone ahead of time, because we grabbed the thing as we were running out the door to the airport.

The 2 hour battery on the camera died at about 1hour 45 minutes. :(. We are working on at the very least getting it on to a mere 4 DVDs (!) at this point. My computer is very tired, old and slow so we are hoping to have it ready by Gencon Indy.

As for putting it on Youtube, I\'ll leave that to Jeremie to decide. It\'s not my intellectual property, so any public distribution is up to the owner. I was only trying to do a last minute favour for a friend.

For anyone interested, I\'m in the middle of doing a work-in-progress/tutorial thread on a GW LotR Sharkey figure using techniques I gathered from Jérémie\'s seminar at Chicago GD and some of my own stuff.

(I\'d also like feedback there, if folks would be so kind...)
