is there a way to see the breakdown of a figure\'s score?

For example, if a figure is at 7 and drops to 5, can we view the votes and how much each vote was for?

like

4 votes of 7
5 votes of 8
1 vote of 2

or something like that?

It would also be nice to see WHO voted.. E.i SonOfBeech gave a 1. But then everyone would reply and start hating each other..

Is there a way to see the breakdown of a figures score?

As a general question this is a good one.
I vote honestly on peoples mini\'s, posting comments as and when I think of something good or constructive to say. Those painters who\'s skills are way above mine I strive to match, not pull down.

I get the feeling that there are some members out there who are not taking the spirit of the site as it was intended. In other words they are deliberatly voting down good minis.

I\'ve looked at a couple of accounts who have posted comments about minis but haven\'t even bothered to post pictures.

Sadly the problem is with human nature, in that there are some destructive persons within this world of painters. I\'ve witnessed someone actually run their thumbnail down someone elses mini, tearing the paint, just because the paint job was better than their own.
It\'s this type of pathetic attitude which the moderators will have a terrible job to prevent.
Showing who voted what score would only cause flaming and constant battling between members with childish attitudes.

I agree with the format Shroud suggests, But how to catalogue the rise or fall of a figure, are we talking Time/Vote Graphs?

I don\'t agree with assigning names to votes -- for one, not everyone who votes is logged in. I also don\'t want to see 500 votes -name pairs everytime I look at my mini.

I think a simple table or bar graph would do:

10 : 1
9: 4
8: 15
7: 120
6: 114
5: 52
4: 4
3: 1
2: 0
1: 1

I don\'t think it\'s really necessary to have a time-elapsed version of this.

Well I take it for what it is, a fun thing to do. Some of the minis imho are not as good as they started... in other cases I tend to give higher marks. that said, I really do not care about the score. It is just plain fun

:duh:

I just wanted to say, people should definitely be able to vote anonymously. Otherwise, they\'ll stop voting honestly. I would really like to see the breakdown of the votes though.

It would be nice if this breakdown of scores was a part of the \"my account\" section. I\'m only interested in the breakdown of scores on my own minis :D
Having it as a part of the account would be easier than having to browse through all the minis.

I agree, since all I can see is at least imho not really honest voting. Sorry have not had my coffee this morning, but when I come in and see a model I worked on for oh hours get a score of 4.5 and asking a local friend who also judges local painting events where he would place that one, and he honestly tells me seven or eight, I am just baffled. To a point I am discouraged as well. I usually do not care for the scores, but for some reason it got to me this morning. Hell I even considered removing the gallery altogether. I mean one person who judges locally, and is pretty even steven, tells me seven to eight, Others who paint, a couple do this profesionally, (not Mick) tell me the same thing... I am just baffled, that is all.

I am willing to bet that some of this has to do with the photography, but still folks...

Ok, as someone who for various reasons has not been able to get around to posting pictures here (between getting ready to move and blowing two power supplies in my computers the last few weeks have not been exactly what I would refer to as fun), I have to say this - by and large, most of the mini\'s I have seen posted here are somewhere in the 5-9 range. Having said that, I have also seen some individuals post scores and comments that make me sometimes wonder if I do want to go ahead and post to the site. My style is my style of painting, and I do not paint to the current standards - no nmm, limited highlighting (I prefer a mini that gets its highlights and shadows in a natural way - imho one of the problems with some of the minis on the site is that they are highlighted to some mythical light source, and when photographed in the real world, the lighting is not from the same direction as the painter saw in his vision of the mini), and very limited painting of eyes. With all this in mind, why would I want to post? Because I can. Sure, my work would never win a Golden Demon (unless they have a category for the silliest paintjob) but that will not stop me from posting, nor will disparaging comments from people who think that GW mini\'s are the end all be all of miniatures.

I like the idea of including the breakdown in \"My Account\" section. Anyway voting should be kept anonymous - the only way to keep it honest.

And I like to post and receive comments:

When I have something to say I like to tell why my opinion is what it is.

And when someone has own style he does know that the mini isn\'t bad but someone just prefers a different style.

And then the person knows that the score is the matter of personal preference.
