Thats not too bad...

Not bad at all.

I was being really good, hadn\'t bought any new minis to paint in 4 months, then went by the shop the other day to pick up some paint and they had just gotten some 100 Kingdoms minis in and I couldn\'t resist.... :(

I agree....I sometimes look through some of my old stuff and think...Damn! Where did I get that?

I have a full room devoted to nothing but minis, but that isn\'t enough room so I have much more stored out in the garage (where I installed cabinents to hold them all). Then I even have some stuff out in my shed....

This is not so much of me bragging but more of a plea for help...lol

I\'d love to help you mate but at present my kitchen (which is my work area is full) this includes a 4 door wall cabinet, a blanket chest and a portable 4 drawer unit at the side of the kitchen table. A shelf on which is stored 3 tool boxes and various plastic containers which are my bits boxes.
Upstairs in my bedroom I have a cupboard which contains all the various games I have bought over the years, no less than 5 GW army deals soon to become 6 with the Ogre Kingdoms box. A box that contains a full unpainted Roman cohort and another box containing a viking army.
My living room houses various items which are mainly untouched Grenadier speacials like the Undead Mammoth/Rhino/Chariot/Colossul lords plus all my gaming/modelling books including White Dwarf 1-300. The list goes on. Do I stop buying more.....guess what......no I do not.

Here in the states it seems to be \'in fashion\' to blame the manufacturers for anything rather than take on any sort of personal responsibility.....(ie suing Tobacco makers for being a smoker)

So in that vein, Since I wouldn\'t buy these damn things if they weren\'t so cool. it must be their fault. Its like they (the manufacturers)are just trying to tempt me with their wares....lollolI blame them! It cannot be me!:D:D;)

I agree with that, vike. I have long contended that they put some addictive substance in the packaging, so as soon as you pick it up you\'re hooked. And they use subliminal advertising to get you to pick it up.

Have you ever heard of MA? It\'s a voluntary group that was organised to help sad buggers like us. MA stands for Mini-holics Anonymous. I attended once but wet myself and got sent home. I have most recently been buying Rogue Trader-era minis and olde dwarfes from about the mid- to late-80\'s. What will I do with them? I\'ll just sit and look at them. That is all. I am very unmotivated in respect of painting right now.

By the way, isn\'t it fecking annoying when the most gorgeous figure comes up for auction on ebay and when looking at it to put in a bid the photo shows it to be painted with Humbrol enamels circa 1986 using the DIP METHOD? What the feck is going on!

Off topic and all.

Anyhow, I\'m off to MA.

I have not bought a new mini for some months now I think. I was so proud.
Then I open a present from the advent calendar sakura gave me and find three squids. I try quitting, but everyone keeps dragging me back in! *runs off screaming and waving his arms*
