Inside out painting

Hi there,

I keep seeing this mentioned in White Dwarf and I was just wondering what the benefits of painting inside out are.

When you paint the skin then the cloth and so on.

really its just you advoid spattering paint on areas youve alrdy painted. ie if you have a ripped scroll covering power armour, with some of the armour showing through the rips, paint the armour first. this way you dont have fiddle around trying not to get paint on the scroll. hope this helps:bouncy:

it is all about brush control.

paint the lowest layer/hardest to reach area first. This is why I start with the eyes now. If I screw them up so bad that they have to go into the dip, then I have not lost anything but the eyes.

GENERALL: (each model is a bit different)

none of that is written in stone.

Mike, you didn\'t do the outside of your cloak either :p

I tend to do the hair last. Even though I use a holder on the mini, eventually, I will stick my finger on top of its head to hold it steady and rub that hard-worked area off.
