Infamy, Infamy, they've all got it Infamy

I may already have used that title... Ah well, not to worry!

I thought I'd stick a post up discussing what is going on with my little range of models right now. Things are reasonably exciting at the moment and it feels good to have something of a surge of activity happening so I wanna share. :)

CHEE-CHEE
The giant mutated gorilla is on sale now and as you can see from this size comparison picture he's a pretty huge model. He's a giant at 32mm scale but also fits neatly into 54mm.

He can be ordered on my store for £19.99 and stock is starting to run low from the initial run, but I will hopefully have him at Salute. If anyone would like me to hold copies back do let me know and I'll do my best. I'm not sure how many will be left by the time of the show, but probably not a massive amount.

SALUTE
And talking of Salute - Woooooo it's not far away and I'm getting excited! :D Infamy will be there on the British Indie stand (http://www.facebook.com/brindieminis) and in fine company with JoeK Minis, Warploque Miniatures and White Dragon Miniatures. We are all at stand TM01 so if you're going to be at Salute come along and say hi... and give us lots of money yeah? ;)

TALULLAH BELLE
I recently stuck some photos of the 3D prints of Talullah Belle onto the Infamy Facebook page. I've had her printed at 32mm, 54mm and 90mm scales, so there are lots of options with her, from gaming to large showpiece model. It's going to be incredibly tight to have her cast in time for Salute, but I'm going to do my best. In the meantime, you can see pictures of the prints on the Infamy Facebook page - http://www.facebook.com/infamyminis

FRANK HYDE DESIGN PROCESS
I've also been putting up a detailed run-through of the design process for Frank Hyde's model on the Facebook. I think any budding sculptors will find it really cool, because it covers every stage of Michael Bigaud's sculpting process. So far I've put up five parts and there are more to come:

The background - http://goo.gl/HBWsy
The look - http://goo.gl/gdCto
The scale and armature - http://goo.gl/uQ3RH
Initial masses and anatomy - http://goo.gl/uhbZV
Layering on the detail - http://goo.gl/FhTu0

If anyone feels these are interesting enough to share elsewhere then please post them to any communities you are a part of. It saves me being a dirty spambot and I really do feel that there's lots worth seeing in here. I certainly love looking at Mikh's work as it progresses and it's funky to share it with you guys!

OTHER STUFF
Now that I've sorted a very good quality printer I can get Peter (http://goo.gl/2WhtV) and Edwina Hyde made and cast pretty soon. Hurrah! I also have other stuff on the go, so there should be all kinds of cool Infamy releases over the coming months.

Game development is proceeding at a good pace and I'm actually happy about Infamy being a thing in my life right now, which is great. I have hopes rather than horror when I think about it and the future of the range! ;)

And that is way too much typing. Best sign out.

Cheers,
James

Glad you're enjoying it. Very happy to share the process because it's bloody cool to watch a master at work in close up pictures. :)

Really nice to see how a miniature comes to life, what material is he using?

I want to start a miniatures company now ;)

I believe he uses fimo, probably puppen looking at the colour, but then again, I am colour blind so don't ask me!!

Yeah, it's Fimo but I'm not certain if it's Puppen or Classic Champagne. I also don't know if he's a fan of adding Mixquick. I should probably check this with him and add it to a future update. :)

And go for it RuneBrush... just be ready for suffering! ;)
