Hi all!

My name is Enrique Velasco, also known as emuse. I am a professional freelance miniature painter from Spain, and I have started this crowdfunding campaing for the following reason:

The Crystal Brush Award is a fantastic opportunity for anyone who is professionally involved in the world of miniature painting. Unfortunately, the trip to Chicago from Spain carries an economic effort hardly acceptable to me. Air tickets and stay cost came close to $1300.

For this reason I'm asking for your help to support me and my adventure in this year's awards, and why not, for me to try to win some of the prizes kindly provided by CoolMiniOrNot and other sponsors.

In return, I offer you the opportunity to get some rewards that I am sure will be very interesting, most of them focus on learning about miniature painting.

CAMPAIGN LINK: http://igg.me/p/324153/x/2245431

Thanks in advance. I really appreciate it.

Best regards,

Enrique

stuff looks nice but i have to ask why havent you been more involved with the cmon forums or posting photos before? You may have gotten more support from the Cmon community if you had been more involved here.
Cmon does offer some prizes over in Europe where if you get 1st place you win a plane ticket to the USA for the compitition. I dont know which shows maybe someone else can chime in on that.

Good point. I think its bad form to only post when you need something. First post after 5 years??

I´m registered in CMON since 2007. Cmon are not only the forums. My contribution to this site is to publish my miniatures in my gallery. I think is a good way for someone who want to learn about miniature painting. I´ve replied a lot of questions through private messages in these years...I thought that CMON gallery and CMON forums were the same site and the same users...

I´m only selling some stuff. Believe me, It would be easier for me to announce a painting course in my blog...ten students=1000 Euros=air tickets and stay costs. I thought this was an innovative idea and a good opportunity for miniature painting lovers who want to learn.

Hi!

Another stretch goal! I´m sure that this will be the most interesting for all the painters. http://igg.me/p/324153/x/2245431

If I reach $2300 all the contributors at LEVEL C and above will receive a physical copy of the three PDF tutorials. You will have about 90 pages with tons of work in progress photographs, detailed explanations, tips,

- Each tutorial will be printed in A4 size as magazine with saddle stitch binding.

- The shipping costs for LEVEL C were free, but now, if I want to ship the printed stuff in perfect conditions, I find myself obliged to charge the following shipping costs (LEVEL C only):

- European Union: $4 – Total perk cost: $54
- Rest of the World: $6 – Total perk cost: $56

Rest of the perks have no changes about the shipping terms.

- If you don´t want to pay the shipping costs, I will send the pdf tutorials by e-mail and the DVD by mail, as planned from the beginning.

- If you have chosen LEVEL A or B and want to upgrade to LEVEL C or above, you can change it at any time. Choose the new one and I will refund your first option when campaign ends.

- The printed tutorials will ship from September 2013, and you will have the possibility to choose if you want the PDF tutorials in the estimated delivery dates or would you rather wait for the physical format.

Thanks in advance! :)

Hey emuse,

i tried to contribute just now but failed due to timeout when going to the paypal page. Maybe that will be gone tomorrow or do you have an idea what that could be?

I realy feel your pain with high traveling fees to something work related, ive got to go to america too this year for a conference. Luckily for me i can get a stipend for traveling costs because im a student. I think your solution is a very creative way. Good luck with your effort.

Cheers
