Ilyad Games...where?!?

greetings.

i have just discovered this miniature company. they have some of the most amazing looking pieces i have seen since rackham hit the market!

but, i can only find very few places selling them (germany/france) only. and i can find a website for the actual company...i have searched for hours!!!! can anyone shed some light on this for me?

They have some great stuff and I just had Cedric (Green Stuff) send me some over from France here not too long ago. Apparently they will be opening up in the American market sometime this year, but they were rather vague to Tab Studios when she made inquiries.

Couple of things to note about em though.

First and foremost, the bases suck. The have this big resin cast on the bottom which you then put into an indent into the top of the base, which more often than not apparenly, doesn\'t actually fill it. For someone like me that likes to cork their bases, you\'ll have to sand quite a bit just to get that base off. Hard to explain, I\'ll take some pictures later and post it.

Second, if you do have someone send you something from France (as Frenchkid has offered to do - very kind of you there Arthur) keep in mind the money conversion rates. For three miniatures that you could of picked up here for probably less $20US I paid a tad over $40 due to the low American Dollar vs. Euro.

Still worth it IMHO as I plan on entering Pile Ou Face (Heads or Tails) into a local competition and hope the wow factor of something new will help it along.

Jeremie, you do a stunning job! I love Ilyad stuff. Only wish they were easier to get here in Sweden. :( One day I might ask the French people here to help me... :)

My new favorite of the line is \'Steel Face\' that just went up. LOVE IT!

I want it to, but Cedric told me he wouldn\'t send me anymore till I paint what I have.

Thanks for the link Jeremie. I have admired your minis on this site and checked out a couple of French Sites that sell them, but haven\'t purchased any yet as my French is not good enough. I will persevere however, as they look absolutely fantastic.

Very nice minis, and with the line up of sculpters I wouldn\'t expect any less. I look forward to the day when they find their way to the US market. Although I may break down and get some imported for me before then, well see! :D
