They look very nice, I love the Jon Snow figure, Melisandra looks a bit off though, not exactly how I would have envisaged her but she might look better when she is painted up
Ah. Nice miniatures! But there is always something intimidating with Meiers stuff.. 28mm and yet so detailed. I will try my hands on one of his sculpt in the not so far future.. we\'ll se how that go.
So this is an all new range in 28mm ??? I know Tom started on some \"ice and fire\" miniatures in 1/48, but the original contractor pulled out. The man is productive no doubt.
Anyway, utterly amazing as usual, a true kick in the groin for any sculptor
I really like these, and I\'m glad the range (or a new one, if that happens to be the case) is coming out finally, after reading about the troubles Tom had with the previous contracter.
I am certain the quality will be excellent seeing the casts Dark Sword normally produces.
I also immediately got curious about how a Gregor Clegane sculpt will look like! Hopefully we\'ll get to see it in the near future.
@Sven: Indeed, you really should read these books!
Very nice minis. I haven\'t read the Fire and Ice stuff so I have no preconceptions of what the characters might have looked like. I do like these though.
oh yea!
Thanks I may not have seen these.
He makes a wonderful miniature, yes the tiny detail is rather a challenge but oh so worth it when you are done. Take the plunge.
When I get some money I can buy them without anyone\'s permission, although I already have about 600 models ready to be painted, not to mention all those other models I\'ve already added to my list.
However, I would really like to see some stuff from Wild Cards if we\'re going to talk about G.R.R. Martin\'s stuff (ok, he was only the editor on those, but still....)
Based on this thread and one of the others about favorite fantasy works, I picked up the first book in the series.
Let\'s just say I am glad I did - thanks, guys! Definitely not your average \"Tolkien: Reloaded\" fantasy. I hope the other books are as good as the first.
If you\'ve got to the end of A Game of Thrones you should know this, but Martin really isn\'t scared of letting really really bad things happen to his characters. Its all downhill from here
