I need a big strong man.

I\'m looking for a very tall, muscular figure to represent an eight foot tall human (when stood next to a normal warhammer mini) in a Warhammer fantasy roleplay game.

I\'ve seen \'Big Boris\' by Heresy but want something a little taller, and armoured with a bastard sword and sporting a skin head also.

Any ideas?

how about a converted chaos marauder? - it could easily be made to specs.
other than that, have you tried personal adds?

:D
I have already tried \'extending\' a plastic chaos marauder at the joints then filling and sculpting it with greenstuff but it looks all gangley and awful! :(

I\'m a bit lost for ideas really.

You could try to get a hold of the limited Harbinger of the North promotional mini that came with Harbinger Magazine. It is quite large, has a broadsword, and an uncovered head. It might be quite hard to get though; sorry, I\'ve traded mine away a few months ago.
Good luck!

Any pics of it?

well, it\'s at the bottom left of this pic

But I now notice you were actually talking about a _skin_ head, this guy has quite a lot of hair.
Maybe you would be better of with a Rackham Confrontation Hogarth le Colosse: (of which I have no idea how colossal he actually is though)

or other Confrontation giant barbarians.

Thanks for all your input. I like the confrontation fig, very good but how big is it?

I was told that GW do an Archeon fig thats on foot, I suspect it would be quite a tall and chunky figure... Anyone know if its any good, how big it would look to other \'normal sized\' figs and if its head is easy to rip off and swap over?

As for Thrud, that could be the one to get! All he needs is a more normal sized head, how would Thruds body look with say: the GW plastic Chaos Marauder skinhead head on it? ???:)

I don\'t think that Archeon will work for you. Don\'t have the mini at hand ATM, but memory serves Its about the same height as a unmount chaos warrior. And I\'m not sure if the head would be easly gotten at. He\'s got like a fur cape thingie on his shoulders. Mine you the memory is going, so my infomation could be all wrong.

lol???lol???lol???lol

The archaon on foot is the gamesday 2004 figure. I am not sure how it compares to a standard figure as far as size, but IMO its a crap mini(sculpting wise the legs and feet are out of proportion). The head is a separate piece so would be easy to replace.

Here\'s an example of it:

hey!
ive been thinking maybe the kelt giants from rackham would do the trick, some of them are close to bald, there pretty big (maybe to big) but dont be fooled into thinking there really giants, they seemed to be about 8-10 feet imho relative size of course.
heres a pair of cmon links, neither are my minis :p

I have this cool old bouncer from the 1980s/90s Ral Partha tavern set.
He was a clear head over everyone else in the old days, but I think scale creep has made him more normal. Too bad.

This is not mine, and not very well painted. It\'s just the only image I found on the web.

LOL! Thanks for taking the time out and posting that, another idea bites the dust... unless I can find a bigger head to put on the body from somewhere?! :)

none of them are hairy heads. they have alittle around the sides but that should be easy to remove. here is the new bigger boris with marauder head. and thrud with ogre head (ignore the greenstuff):

Freak, I hope that that last pic wasn\'t meant for me.

What about MorgN Thorg the BloodBowl Ogre? he\'s big and dumb looking. What look are you going for. Big and dumb like John Coffee in the Green Mile or big and successful like the Governor of California?
