I\'ve been trying to find an online supplier for Hudson and Allen leaf litter etc. and am having no luck. Are they still in business? The only promising site I found had a banner saying that Hudson & Allen hadn\'t shipped them any product in 9 months.

Well the CMON shop sells it, currently only the Ivy is still available, but it comes with the leaves if thats what you want.

I took a basing seminar with Jeff Wilhelm (dragonforge.com) last year at GenCon. (Hi Whyspyr, I think you were in the photography seminar I took :D) From what he said, selling basing materials is very much a sideline for the Hudson & Allen folks. Their main business is doing miniatures or scenery or something for movies (they worked on Nightmare Before Christmas). So supply of their products tends to dry up if they have a lot of movie work. :(

I got the ivy and the foliage from the CMoN shop when I noticed they were available. I think the leaves are much the same as in the forest litter, but more green.

We will be stocking leaf litter and a variety of leaves from this autumn/winter(In fact we already stock small quantities of the ivy leaves, sold out of the brown ivy leaves though)
They are the same as the H&A leaf litter and ivy leaves (albeit a UK species and not a USA species), infact this years lot will be better as we can colour our leaves better than H&A do ( they just used dye) and we will be creating a range of colours.

Unfortunately they are a seasonal product due to their natrual base product and it is hard to get good supplies.

This last year we didn\'t make enough and stocks are now almost sold out, H&A I beleive are totally sold out, not supplying anymore (too busy doing museum/film work) and also need to wait for the right season anyway. The only place you will find H&A stuff atm is a store with some already in stock, so try to scour the net.

Luckily I got some from the cmon shop the last time around.
Some of the forest litter leaves seem too big, same with the green foliage leaves.I pick out the small ones. The ivy leaves are smaller and seem a better scale for 28mm figures, but they are only green.

They vreally are fantastic though.
Antenociti,,,,let everyone know that you have a similar product.Im sure there will be plenty interest.

Granddad!
birch seed pods.....

...is where they come from, I picked a load last year when they were just falling off the trees :D, trouble is its a bit labour intensive seperating the \'leaves\' from the seeds
I tried using some clear plastic & charging it with static but couldn\'t seem to make the charge big enough to make it really effective ???, any tips?
so I just sort what I need by hand

Thanks everyone! Antenociti I think it would be great if you posted your products order information when it does become available again : ) I\'d be very interested. DonJ I took your suggestion-thanks again! Hey Wren! Those were some great workshops weren\'t they? I really liked Jeff\'s basing one but I lost all his handouts (and by lost I mean my roomate scarpered off with them to Seattle  ) Anyway I still get to paint with Lili Troy every month-should have something ready to post this month :D
