Hows your GD entries going?

Hey guys. I\'ve been painting my entry today. His arm and his face are what i\'ve been focusing on lately, and his cloak is also in its early stages. A little behind I am, I know. But I\'ve got alot of time on the weekends, and plus after school...

Hows progress with every one else?

Well we do know that it has an arm, face and cape, but other than that you havnt really narrowed it down!

Well one member of my duel is just about finished , so i cut his base fixing to length and then proceeded to drop him.............. bast*rd bast*rd thing.

Now I have just given myself loads more work. I have the feeling that I am not destined to get these buggers finished.

And I have just remembered that I am out of dull cote so I have frantically ordered some more. fingers crossed it makes it here in time.

And I still have the display base to make.

oh happy days. :)

Yup. Kroot :cool:

I have finished my entry, just some dullcote touches required. The painting is as flawless as I can get it, and he even has a display plinth made from 18mm MDF. I finished ages ago :D

non existent, about a month ago i realised i\'d rather paint for ebay and make money than paint for gd and not even have a guarentee of success, id rather go and enjoy the day and appreciate everyone elses models than be worrying how mine is doing.

my update so far.
yesterday i cut my left hand, today i have scolded my right hand.
something is trying to tell me something. lol

i\'m glueing leaves onto a tree at the moment as well as adding extra branches.

why couldn\'t i have just painted a bleeding hobbit !

I can see your point brokenblade, I have been watching your ebaying with great interest. Nearly bidded on that fine kroot the other day.
Just feel like your selling yourself short, the challenge of competing. Well hope you try next year, for all of us to enjoy.
How about painting one for ebay to competition level? I\'ve got a few bob left, I may bid:D

Hey Brokenblade....do the research and the maths..every Bronze winner roughly doubles the price your models go for...Every silver a bit more gold a bit more still and a slayer sword will see endless glory and riches..(check out Natalia\'s stuff a lately0
Admittedly your doing ok on ebay though...I\'m making a living out of it myself....

second (had 3 repaints now if this one doesn\'t work by tuesday then a rather large model will be seen flying from my work room window followed by a shout of F:cussing:K you.........
3rd basework to finish....
als a possible 4th entry that was never intended for GD but is just turning out so sweet at the minute I may have to enter.....

Chances of prizes.....Slim...Had a silver in 2000 with a piece I didn\'t actually like... After painting Large armies and models for ebay for 5 years have started to get back into display so this year is the proverbial big toe in the water......
oh well see how it goes..

umm I have seen none of these riches. But I did win many moons ago, time takes away the money i presume :(

yeah it seems to be the case that proving yourself in the current comps acts to confirm your standard........a lot of guys out there are amazing painters but GD winners have that sort of official seal.....
