How to transport cavalry models?

I\'m not only a painter ( though not a very good one, pics will follow soon ), but I also love to play miniature games. One of my favourite games is \'Confrontation\' which most of you will probably know. The problem is that I have quite a few cavalry models ( I play with \'Alahan\' ) and I can\'t seem to find a descent transportation device for these very delicate models (especially the lances like to come off too often). Is there someone who has any idea how I can get my knights on the battlefield in a somewhat acceptable condition.

Have you considered a heavy-duty cardboard box (or plastic tupperware lunch box) lined with two sheets of the same foam packing that is used for shipping thin electronics? I sent a fragile lance-using centaur to Europe in a box packed in the foam from a new soundcard and it arrived in perfect condition.

It\'s worth a shot, but the problem is that I always have to go by bike to get to the place where I play. I actually need something to jam the base of my model so that it can\'t move during the ride. I already tried something with foam and it didn\'t work out as the lance didn\'t survive the wobbly ride. Thanks anyway.

You should\'ve mentioned this before, I just ordered a sabol case from www.thewarstore.com (or maybe .net :innocent: ) It has \"mouchen\" layers, which you can cut out yourself in any shape wanted.

I think GW case is OK for that, but perhaps too big ?? Why not envelopp individually each mini in a piece of tissu, or something like that ?? i use this before having enought mini to full a GW case :D

Army Transport

For all of my armies I\'ve been using the Army Transport. It has foam layers that can be cut out, and can hold an armys worth of minis (I have about 2500+ points of GW blood angels in mine).

Anyways, if thats too big, I was thinking that you could use just one of the layers out of the transport. You can buy them individually, with different heights (I think a 3 inch one would work for cavalry), and just throw it in a bag and carry it on the bike.

For more of a description (I\'ve done a bad job of describing them) go to NewWave, I\'m pretty sure that they still carry them.

Have fun,
