How many went to Euro Mil 2010?

So, who went to Euro?

For anyone that doesn't know, fantasy and sci-fi has gotten more accepted there over recent years and Chris Clayton (aka giganticdark) won the BOS with a fantasy piece titled Dragon Slayer :claply:

So maybe we can expect a bit of a step-by-step on the creation of his stunning piece :nailbiting!:

Hi Einion!

Guess what....I did!

WarGriffon, Freakinacage, Avicenna, Toosh, Ritual, Prawnpower, Squiggy, Ben Komets to name a few.......
1000+ entries

Chris did have a little booklet with his entry showing the SBS of it's construction, so he has everything needed to post one.....we'll have to wait and see!

Well deserved BoS!

love to see you back at Euro sometime

That's more than I was expecting, which is good.

Any medal or awards folks?

Thanks, ditto. Would probably have made it this year but it was too close to a holiday date that I couldn't change.

Yeah that Chris Clayton piece looks spectacular!! There seem to be some grumble amongst some of the historic modellers that a fantasy piece won though but I hope that's temporary.

Sven.....where are you hearing that? I've seen a couple of mutterings but overall it seems very positive indeed

Absolutely Beautiful.....:in-love:

Also CMON got a plug in the thread
Pictures aren't the best, it's the GW plexi glass syndrome.

Avelorn, you're correct. You can see in the above thread some are not too happy a Fantasy piece won. Especially the one on the second page with the :pissed-off: that starts his thread.

Well that was inevitable, grumbling after Euro Mil is practically a pastime for some visitors :giggle:

Post-event griping is pretty common after shows (I know I've done my fair share) and complaints often revolve around judging and/or the BOS since they often show, or appear to show, less-than-stellar judgement. And to be blunt a lot of the "How did that win/not win?!" does have some validity, although it is often not quite as straightforward as it looks from 'outside'.
