How many miniatures do you have?

A lot of people tell me that I\'m mad. I\'m being constantl accused of wasting money on minis, even miniature painters tell me that. I wanted to see if I\'m alone on this or are there other freaks like me who have tons of minis.

I\'ll start: I have 1300+ painted models.
About a hundred are painted like crap, the rest are standard plus, a few are high class. The majority is made up of GW, about 1150 are Warhammer, about a hundred are 40K and the rest is reapermini and Rackham.
I have about 200 waiting for painting.

About 30 minis (7 painted, the rest unpainted). I sold all my Warhammer armies on Ebay last year, and I\'ve given away a bunch that I knew I\'d never paint.

GreenOne... I miss reading your blog. Just go to blogger and start a new one!

I have only about 500, all said and done. It comes down to about 1 mini per day that I\'ve been painting. I wish I could paint half that fast!

Guess I have around 750-1000 minis, lost a bunch over the years due to moving and such.

Well keep in mind these are not all 28mm, I have boxes full of 10mm, 15mm, 6mm and even some larger figure models as well.

Plus I am in my mid 30s and have been at this since I was 9yrs old, lots of years to collect them.

Out of these, I probably have 1-3% painted. heck my skaven army alone is over 400 models, and I have armies for almost every GW games system and then there are the historicals....so many historicals....

Hmm never counted. Guessing 6K or so if you count all the ones that came with all the GW games I own (the old ones, that were called 3d Roleplaying Games). If I count Epic (3 editions of Space Marine, Adeptus Titanicus, etc) it\'s probably closer to 12K. I would be interesting to know how many but also very depressing.

As for how many painted, hmm... 200 maybe?

I have 7 whfb armies so thats about 700 minis. Then I have about 200 - 300 unpainted plus the odd other gaming system so 1000 sounds about right.

93 painted (tyranid army and varios)

33 unpainted (orks)

4 half painted (2 dragyri 2 reaper)

no longer mine

12 necrons i painted for a friend

1 wraith and 1 destroyer i gave to a friend

I\'d be in the 10000+ club as well. I\'ve got a couple of thousand painted, but most stored away in boxes around place.

It is a tactical error making the admission how much I have. I\'ve spent some time disguising numbers by ensuring they are spread through out the house in different spots.

1 old school \"classic\" 40k genestealer (unpainted and made of dark blue plastic???)

At least that is what it felt like when I moved 15 EXTREMELY large AND heavy containers full when I moved.

That of course does not include the boxed sets and those still in blisters (about 500)

No... I don\'t have a problem... why do you ask?

way too many and still buying more.. I used to do the spreading them everywhere but due to getting ready to move now have had to get it ll together.. definitly in the 10k plus club...
It was quite frustrating for my long suffering partner that decisions on new house were down to having space to store my minis...
