How many CMON Contest#3 Entries are In?

I was just wondering how many had completed and unploaded photos for the CMON Contest #3 and is there a way in which to search for all entries? Is there a special catagory by which to list our entries to ensure that everyone has an opportunity to view and vote? If we post our photos in our galleries, how do people know they are up for voting?

You\'ll have to pardon all my questions, as this is my first contest and I\'m just about finished and ready to post. I want to make sure I\'m following correct procedure.

Thanks in advance,
Faye

Isn\'t there some sort of keyword search that can be done to pull up all the CMON entries?

There\'s one less entry than there was going to be if you count me! I was really rather disappointed with the piece when it turned up and just couldn\'t find the inspiration to bother with it! Give it a few years to gain a bit of value and Ebay it (them in fact as I bought two! DOH!) I guess.

About contest minis

Nailpainter: I copied these straight from the contest rules page and put in bold the part that answers your question. Hope this helps!

Contest rules
1. All entries must be uploaded by 15th June 2004. Just upload the image as normal, be sure to select CoolMiniOrNot as the manufacturer when you do so.

2. Voting closes 15th July 2004.

Well I\'m painting mine this weekend.
And I\'ll let that be the only comment I\'m making, until it\'s finished and posted.

Well I finished mine just 20 minutes ago.
And I must confess that I wasn\'t looking forward to painting her. However you guys will have to wait until tomorrow for me to post her as I seriously need to become the outside of a bottle of wine.

Faye;

The easy way to find the ones that were submitted is to go to the Browse feature and sort by CollMiniOrNot as the manufacturer and sort by most recent. I added the word Christina in the text search field but found I missed several entries because not everyone included the figure name in the title of their post.

Anyway, boarding a plane tomorrow night for the West Coast so I have to finish mine, as much as possible, and get her posted tonight. Probably going to be a late night so let me get off of this computer and PAINT!!!:(

Cheers,
Grumb

P.S. - did everyone elses horse have a hole in its rear flank just above the saddlebag? I ordered two and both had the same manufacturing defect and I\'ll be darned if I\'m not completely out of GreenStuff. Guess I\'ll have to to use a couple if REALLY THICK coats of paint over that spot and see if I can fill it.

Ok, so I lied. I finished painting her, or at least as much as I\'m going to tonight since i can no longer see straight. And I sprayed on the first coat of sealer. guess I\'ll have to get up early and do the photography. Night all !:)

Cheers,

hurry!

Yeah, I\'m in a frenzy to finish her too. Only got the bloody thing primed today.

So busy doing other stuff. Damn that real-life thing.

Lots of flaws. And yes there was a hole on the right rear flank, just above the saddlebag. But I used LOTS of greenstuff on her. ;)

I can only hope to finish in time. As usual, the photographs will be shot and posted at the last possible nanosecond.

In order to see the entries already submitted I have just been looking at the minis with CoolMiniorNot as a manufacturer. Sure hope that is the correct method. Good Luck everyone!

Well she\'s posted late last night after temper tantrums with flat camera batteries.

I\'ve got to say that I wasn\'t particularly inspired by the sculpt intil I started painting. After the horse was done the rest of the figure seemed to come together.

But I am really dissapointed in the quality of some parts of the casting, Her feet and her face are the prime areas which seem to have suffered.

Her face was the first problem, the eyes were so deeply sunk it was an act of contortion to get in to paint them. Then I had to do it again to put in the pupils. Man did I have to do some controlled breathing exercises then.

It wasn\'t until I got to painting the feet that I reallised that the cast had reduced her to having \"club feet\", by which time I was loathe to have to start adding Greenstuff to fix the problem as these were one of the last areas to be tackled.

On the positive side I found that the Filigree on the Armour was crisply defined and therefore very easy to paint.

What is anyone else\'s regard for the mini?

usually putting cmon as the manufacturer and labelling the mini with the tagline cmon contest 3 or contest 3 or cmon contest is enough..... for those who wanna know the submission proceedure......

I finally finished the mini..... thot I wont make it at all..... after two whole days of not sleepin..... mannnn I am bushed........ :p

but really Dragonsreach ya are rite... this minia isnt particularly inspiring on first glance.. but its part of the challenge I guess...

My mini is at http://www.coolminiornot.com/57699.

On the eyes, I made the decision that they were so sunken, and under her hood, that I would not paint them in, and keep them in shadow instead

I just posted 2 different sets of photos on mine. The light background one didn\'t seem to give the right impression. Take a look and tell me which you like better and I\'ll delete one!
