Gday All,

Well the days are drawing ever so quicker towards most probably everyones favourite day of the year (until the bills come in). I was just wondering how everyone on CMON spends their Christmas day. Whether it be with family, or the community on the forums.

Personally, I like to relaxed and layed back on my Christmas day. My family would drag me along to our relatives place for a giant feast, and after all the eating, i would usually fall asleep. But thats just me, What do you do??

Cheers

Freezing my ass off and fullof eggnogg goodness :D

Na on a serious note if one of the few times ayear I manage to get home and spend time with my family..

Plus this year Im playing Santa to someone Ive never met who can use some help..makes me feel good.

After that I count the days till spring and temperatures above 40 degrees F

Just hanging with family. I honestly couldn\'t think of anything better to do on that day.

Watching/helping the kids play with Christmas presents.

The wife and I will head over to my sister\'s place on the 24th at around noonish. We\'ll start eating and drinking at about 2 (five minutes after we arrive).
Sometime around 2:45, the kids will start using me as monkey bars, and I\'ll indulge them for an hour or so.
At around 5, guests for the annual Christmas Party will start arriving, some stopping in for one drink and floating off again, while others will stay for hours.
A good and drunken time will be had by all, until around 2 am. Then we\'ll kick the guests out, or lay them neatly in the snow on the front lawn to sleep it off.
In the morning on the 25th, the children will rouse us for present opening, and we adults will either hit the Morning Glory to blunt the hang-overs, or try to hide in a dark and quiet place for a while.
Then will come the Eggs Benedict breakfast, which is my favourite part of the holiday.
Then another round of present opening.
Then, sometime around noon, the kids will play with new toys, and the adults will go pass out for a couple of hours.
Then there will be the grand Christmas Dinner, which will fill us to stupid levels with food, and getting home again after dinner will likely involve calling a cab.
Or, the way I eat Christmas Dinner... an air lift...

Well I like to spend christmas with people I like so I stay as far away from my family as I can. Me and my kids will be going to a mates house to swim drink and eat oh and I think the kids might want some presents I guess.

Merry christmas every one.

I\'ll be spending this Christmas where I spent last Christmas - 8000 miles from home with the troops.

Well Lloyd there will be a few people back here thinking of you, out there.

As for us. Probably up early as usual, Wash and clean the turkey and stick it in the oven.
Take the dog for a good walk couple of hours if she\'s up to it, Come back to the smell of roasting bird.
Probably open any presents around noon (it\'s not a big deal for us).
Telephone calls from Family.
Christmas dinner around 4 pm.
Maybe an online conversation with the in-laws in Canada later.

I may
1 Have sister that is ill over and thank goodness I get another with the last sibling I have
2 Bring mom over as well, gotta love her cause she likes to watch me paint...
3 Play games and watch kids with sis she is more fun than I unless the holiday wine breaks out of the bottle. then I become
\'all powerful\"
4 Do the bird with hubby the night before and have cooking...then I can smell ST thing in the morn and start the twice baked potato\'s for later with room in oven.
5 Stay up late wrapping and making whoopee
6 wake up to breakfast cake goodness drink coffee watch present opening for kids avoid my presents.
If Sis can not come for Christmas eve but just got for Christmas day. please go to stage 1-and repeat Christmas eve and call it Christmas Day ...or something as such, we will listen to Becca sing and be thankful.
Merry Christmas to all

With family, good food, pressies and the Disney christmas episode (which is a strange Swedish tradition dating back 50 years, every Christmas eve at two pm almost every single person in Sweden puts the tv on to watch it).

I always seem to have a hangover on Christmas Day. This year I promised myself I wouldn\'t. Let\'s see shall we? I just want to have a good time all the time over Christmas. Boxing Day is a funny one as my dear old Nanna Bet died a few years ago on that day so we all raise a glass to her. She was funny, rude and the best old bird I\'ve ever met lol We used to have a Boxing Day bash at hers every Boxing Day see, so it was quite a poignant thing. We\'ll have fun for the old girl.

Otherwise, a brandy, a few beers, loads of home-cooked grub, a few presents, a quiet reflective pint in the pub a day or so after, and then back to work.

Just hanging around with my Father, my bro and his wife and kids. Just visiting and being glad that Christmas terror is over.
The cynical heathen bastard that I am.

We aren\'t christian/catholic (dad\'s hindu, i\'m agnostic) so we don\'t really believe in all that stuff anyways so it\'s not some deep spiritual day for us, but my dad growing up in a portugese colony in india, grew up following both hindu and christian celebrations.

So we used to do a bit, lights, tree, etc.

However, my mom died xmas night/boxing day morning back in 1993. Since then, we just stay home alone normally and my dad may go out to a friend place. Past couple years i\'ve stayed home and painted miniatures. My stegadon, WotC black dragon, etc...however, I am invited to friend\'s places where they celebrate to some degree, i rarely go. PRefer to sit here alone. Not my fav time of year, so xmas to me is just a day off work and school.

However, this year...prob the best xmas i\'ve had in along time. Shilpa (my g/f) is flying here from the UK :) :) :)

So this year, xmas day will be her first time meeting my dad and having dinner here at night. AFternoon we\'ll go see a movie (The New World at a cinema).

This christmas I will be enjoying a day off, probably relaxing on my own, but I may end up at a friends \"strays\" christmas day.
