We get a film in the UK before the Americans for once and it\'s flippin\' brilliant too. Woo hoo! It\'s been out for a while now yet I\'ve only seen the briefest of mentions about in the firearms thread, so has anyone else seen it? Did you like it? For me it\'s one of the most enjoyable movies I\'ve seen and just as good after a second viewing, better in fact.

It\'s not laugh out loud funny all the way through (although some bits had the entire cinema laughing big time in unison) but it kept a smile on my face the entire time. It\'s like The Wicker Man meets The Bill meets every action film ever. You should all go and see it!

If you need more convincing it:

Has one of the very best deaths ever captured on film
Has one of the finest supporting casts I\'ve ever seen (Including three Oscar winners)
Has Timothy Dalton epitomising pantomime evil
Is the loudest film I\'ve ever seen
Gets better and better as it goes on until one of the most ridiculous and over the top ongoing action scenes caught on film

Did I mention that you should go and see it? Unless you aren\'t in the UK of course, in which case jog on! :p

Hehe, i mentioned it in the firearms thread. I had went to a special showing of it which Simon Pegg and the other one (hehe can\'t remember his name) were there. And of couurse free popcorn for everyone!
I thought it was mint! The last bit in the model village was the best, it was such a blatent parody of Japanese monster films!

Bill, there is a bit early in the film that you will probably strongly relate to, what with your age limit breaking cinema going!

And Matty, you got to go to a special screening and you don\'t even know who it was who was there? I am thoroughly disgusted (and jealous, but mostly disgusted)! I\'d guess it was Nick Frost or the director, Edgar Wright.

Nick Frost thats the one lol, his name always slips my mind.

Did you notice the books Bill Baileys character was always reading? All Iain Banks books, no big deal, but we have got the full set, all signed 1st editions. :D

Me and my friends got turned away, because we didn\'t have proof of age :flame:

Even more annoying considering that one of our party (aged 13) had already seen it at the same cinema... I guess it\'s random what ticket seller guy you get, but still

I\'ve seen a few clips from this film - the Somerfield siege and the bit where they copy the \"shortcut\" scene from Shaun Of The Dead. It looks hilarious and I hope I get a chance to see it. But, as I haven\'t been to the cinema since Return Of The King was released it\'s not that likely :( I\'ll probably have to wait for the DVD.

lol You should always take an irresponsible adult along with to back you up and guarantee avoidance of this sort of thing. Or buy a ticket for a film you can go to at a screen in the same area, then sneak across to the one you want to see instead.
